The manuals title this fault “Units changeover: Reference parameter value invalid”. It appears when the drive is changing the units over to the referred representation type and a reference parameter required for this changeover still holds the value 0.0. The changeover check does not accept such an entry: it is not permissible for any of the required reference parameters to be equal to 0.0. The message value names the parameter concerned directly, so the fix is normally a single parameter edit. The converter does not trip on this code — it signals that the units changeover cannot go through until the value has been corrected.

1. Read the fault value in r0949: it contains the number of the reference parameter whose value is 0.0 (the message value displays this as “Parameter: …”).
2. Open the parameter named there. The reference parameters this fault concerns are p0304, p0305, p0310, p0596, p2000, p2001, p2002, p2003 and r2004.
3. Set that parameter to a number other than 0.0.
4. Acknowledge the fault once the value has been corrected.
