F30012 — Power unit: Temperature sensor heat sink wire breakage

F30012 reports that the connection to a temperature sensor inside the power unit has been interrupted — a wire breakage in the sensor circuit. The manuals word it slightly differently per family: on the G120, G120XA, G130 and G150 the fault is titled Power unit: Temperature sensor heat sink wire breakage, so the interrupted connection concerns the heat sink temperature sensor; on the S120 and S150 it is titled more generally as a temperature sensor wire breakage in the power unit. In both cases the drive stores a fault value in r0949 whose bits identify which sensor location raised the fault.

• The connection to a heat sink temperature sensor in the power unit is interrupted (G120, G120XA, G130 and G150).
• The connection to a temperature sensor in the power unit is interrupted (S120 and S150, where the fault value distinguishes the affected sensor location).

1. Read the fault value in r0949 and decode its bits (see below) to identify which sensor location — module slot, air intake, one of the inverters or rectifiers, or on S120/S150 the capacitor air discharge or liquid intake — reported the interrupted connection.
2. Beyond reading the fault value, the manuals prescribe no on-site remedy for this code: contact the manufacturer (G120, G120XA, G130 and G150) or Technical Support (S120 and S150).

• The drive writes the fault location into the fault value r0949, which appears as the %1 message value. Decode it bit by bit:
• Bit 0: Module slot (electronics slot)
• Bit 1: Air intake
• Bit 2: Inverter 1
• Bit 3: Inverter 2
• Bit 4: Inverter 3
• Bit 5: Inverter 4
• Bit 6: Inverter 5
• Bit 7: Inverter 6
• Bit 8: Rectifier 1
• Bit 9: Rectifier 2
• Bit 14: Capacitor air discharge and Bit 15: Liquid intake are listed only for the S120 and S150, where the manual instructs to interpret the value in binary; the G120, G120XA, G130 and G150 entries instruct to interpret the value in hexadecimal and end at Bit 9.

• r0949 — fault value: read it to see, bit by bit, which temperature sensor location in the power unit reported the wire breakage for this code.

The manuals describe no special reset routine for F30012. The fault reaction stops the drive, so it will not run again until the fault is acknowledged at the operator panel or in the commissioning tool. Acknowledge once the manufacturer or Technical Support has repaired the interrupted sensor connection, then restart the drive as usual.
