What it means
F30006 is raised when the Thyristor Control Board (TCB) of a Basic Line Module signals a fault. The board controls the thyristors of the line-side power unit and keeps watch over its own supply, the line contactor and the DC link; when it detects one of the conditions listed below it saves the event on the board itself and reports it to the drive. The manuals for G130, G150, S120 and S150 print the entry with identical wording, so the causes, checks and reset described here apply to all of these families.
Why it appears
- No line supply voltage is present.
- The line contactor is not closed.
- The line supply voltage is present but too low.
- The line supply frequency lies outside the permissible range of 45 ... 66 Hz.
- The DC link has a short-circuit.
- The DC link has a short-circuit during the precharging phase.
- The motor has a short-circuit or insulation fault, signalled from an inverter connected to the DC link.
- The supply voltage of the Thyristor Control Board is outside its nominal range of 5 ... 18 V while the line voltage is still greater than 30 V.
- The Thyristor Control Board itself has an internal fault.
What to check
- Clear the fault stored on the board first, using the power-down acknowledge described under Reset below.
- Check the line supply voltage.
- Check the line contactor and energize it if it is open.
- Verify the monitoring time and, where required, raise it in p0857.
- Observe any additional power unit messages or signals, as required.
- Check the DC link for a short-circuit or ground fault.
- Check the motor for a short-circuit or ground fault.
- Evaluate the diagnostic LEDs of the Thyristor Control Board.

Acknowledging and restarting
This fault is stored inside the Thyristor Control Board and is acknowledged there by removing the board's supply: The faults must be saved in the Thyristor Control Board and must be acknowledged. To do this, the supply voltage of the Thyristor Control Board must be switched out for at least 10 s!
Once the board has been without supply for at least 10 s, switch it back on and acknowledge the fault in the drive; it can then be restarted after the cause found during the checks has been removed.
