F07925Drive: Torque/speed out of tolerance

What it means

F07925 is tripped by the drive's load monitoring when the driven machine no longer follows what has been parameterized. Which condition the drive monitors is set in p2193: with p2193 = 1 it watches that the torque stays inside the torque/speed envelope characteristic; with p2193 = 2 it compares the speed signal of the external encoder (selected in p3230) against the speed in r2169. The encoder-comparison variant is described for G120 and G120XA; the entries for S120, S150, G130 and G150 describe only the deviation of the torque from the envelope characteristic.

Why it appears

  • With p2193 = 1, the torque deviates from the torque/speed envelope characteristic.
  • With p2193 = 2 (described for G120 and G120XA), the speed signal from the external encoder (refer to p3230) deviates from the speed (r2169).

What to check

  1. Check the connection between the motor and the load.
  2. Adapt the parameterization so that it corresponds to the actual load.

Parameters the manual names

  • p2193 — load monitoring configuration: set to 1 to monitor the torque/speed envelope, or to 2 to monitor the speed via the external encoder.
  • p3230 — selects the speed actual value signal (CI: load monitoring speed actual value) that is evaluated when p2193 = 2.
  • r2169 — the smoothed actual speed (CO: n_act) to which the external encoder speed signal is compared when p2193 = 2.

Acknowledging and restarting

F07925 must be acknowledged immediately. Once the cause has been remedied and the fault acknowledged, the drive can be put back into operation.

Questions technicians ask

What does fault F07925 mean on a SINAMICS drive?

The load monitoring has tripped: either the torque deviates from the parameterized torque/speed envelope characteristic (p2193 = 1), or the speed signal of the external encoder differs from the actual speed r2169 (p2193 = 2, described for G120 and G120XA).

How do I clear fault F07925?

Check the mechanical connection between the motor and the load, adapt the parameterization so it corresponds to the load, and then acknowledge the fault immediately.

Which parameters belong to F07925?

p2193 selects the monitoring mode (1 = torque/speed envelope, 2 = external encoder speed), p3230 selects the encoder speed actual value, and r2169 contains the smoothed actual speed used for the comparison.

How is F07925 acknowledged?

The fault is acknowledged immediately; the manual specifies no other special procedure for this code.
