F07934 — Drive: S120 Combi motor holding brake configuration

F07934 reports that a connected motor holding brake was detected on an S120 Combi, but this brake is not assigned to exactly one Combi feed drive — so brake control is not configured (correctly). Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as a message with no reaction (N). The decimal fault value in r0949 tells you which of the assignment problems the drive has found.

• A motor holding brake is connected to the S120 Combi, but it is not assigned to just one Combi feed drive, so brake control is missing or set up incorrectly.
• Which exact case applies is shown by the decimal fault value in r0949 (see the list below).

1. Verify that exactly one S120 Combi feed drive has the motor holding brake assigned to it (p1215 = 1 or 2 on this drive alone).
2. Correct the assignment so that one single feed drive receives the brake. The fault is withdrawn only once this is done, and from then on that drive controls the motor holding brake.

• 0 — no motor holding brake is assigned: p1215 = 0 or 3 on all S120 Combi feed drives.
• 1 — more than one motor holding brake is assigned: p1215 = 1 or 2 is set on more than one S120 Combi feed drive, or more than one DRIVE-CLiQ motor with motor holding brake is present.
• 2 — the brake was accidentally assigned to the spindle (p1215 = 1), which this software release does not permit.
• 3 — Safe Brake Control (SBC) was to be enabled for the spindle (p9602 = p9802 = 1); this software release does not permit this either.

• r0949 — holds the fault value of F07934; read it as a decimal number and match it against the meanings 0 to 3 listed above.
• p1215 — motor holding brake configuration: set it to 1 or 2 on exactly one Combi feed drive to assign the brake to that drive and clear the fault.
• p9602 — enables Safe Brake Control on the Control Unit; if it is set to 1 together with p9802 for the spindle, the drive issues fault value 3.
• p9802 — enables Safe Brake Control on the Motor Module; for the spindle it must not be set to 1 together with p9602 (fault value 3).

Acknowledging alone does not remove the fault: it is withdrawn only once the motor holding brake is assigned to just one of the S120 Combi feed drives (p1215 = 1 or 2 on this one drive). It is then acknowledged immediately with a POWER ON, and from that point the feed drive that received the assignment controls the brake. When the condition appears as a message with no reaction (N), no acknowledgement is required either.
