What it means
F07807 means the converter has detected a phase-phase short-circuit or a ground fault at the motor-side output terminals. The pulses are blocked immediately (OFF2), so the motor coasts down uncontrolled, and the fault must be acknowledged before the drive will run again. The drive stores the fault value in r0949 — read it as a decimal number; the decoding below tells you which phases are involved and, for a ground fault, the pulse number and the current component (this value appears as the message value %1 on an S120/S150). The G115D and G120C manuals list the same condition simply as a detected short-circuit and refer to interchanged line and motor cables. The ground fault test only functions when the motor is stationary.
Connecting to a motor that is either not de-energized or partially de-energized is therefore possibly detected as a ground fault.
Why it appears
- A phase-phase short-circuit or a ground fault at the motor-side output terminals of the converter.
- Interchanged line and motor cables — this is identified as a motor-side short-circuit.
- A motor that is either not de-energized or partially de-energized when connected is possibly detected as a ground fault.
- On a G120 or G120XA the fault value can additionally indicate an interrupted motor cable phase (values 5–7) or a short-circuit with hardware shutdown (value 8).
- On an S120 or S150, fault value 0 means a problem with the current measurement/current that is impressed.
What to check
- Check the motor-side converter connection for a phase-phase short-circuit.
- Rule out interchanged line and motor cables.
- Check for a ground fault.
- Check the motor cable connections — this step is printed for the G120 and G120XA.
- For a ground fault:
do not enable the pulses when connecting to a rotating motor without the "Flying restart" function activated (p1200)
. - Increase the de-energization time (p0347).
- Increase the pulse suppression delay time (p1228) to ensure standstill — the G120XA manual calls this the pulse cancellation delay time.
- If required, deactivate the monitoring (p1901).
Reading the message value
The fault value is in r0949, interpret decimal. The G130/G150 manual decodes the values 1–4 plus the two ground-fault patterns; the cable and hardware-shutdown values are given for G120 and G120XA; S120/S150 additionally decodes 0.
- 0 — problem with the current measurement/current that is impressed (S120/S150).
- 1 — short-circuit, phase UV.
- 2 — short-circuit, phase UW.
- 3 — short-circuit, phase VW.

Acknowledging and restarting
The drive trips the moment the condition is detected and the motor coasts. After the short-circuit or ground fault has been found and removed, acknowledge the fault — it can be acknowledged immediately — and restart the drive. If the motor may still be rotating at the restart, first activate the flying restart function (p1200) as described under Checks.
