F07800 — Drive: No power unit present

The Control Unit cannot read any parameters from the power unit, or no parameters are stored in the power unit at all — as far as the drive is concerned, there is no power unit present. The manuals describe this fault for the G120, G120XA, G130, G150, S120 and S150 in almost the same words, but each adds its own side conditions: the S120/S150 and G130/G150 entries name the DRIVE-CLiQ cable as a possible culprit, and the G120XA entry names a specific switch-on sequence. The drive itself takes no automatic action on this fault; it can be acknowledged immediately once the cause has been removed.

• The power unit parameters cannot be read, or no parameters are stored in the power unit.
• An incorrect topology was selected in the commissioning software or commissioning tool, and this parameterization was then downloaded to the Control Unit.
• S120, S150, G130 and G150: the DRIVE-CLiQ cable between the Control Unit and the power unit may be interrupted or defective.
• G120XA: the AC line supply was switched on much later than the external 24V power supply at X132.

1. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
2. On the S120, S150, G130 and G150, check the DRIVE-CLiQ cable between the Control Unit and the power unit.
3. Check the power unit and replace it if necessary.
4. Check the Control Unit and replace it if required.
5. If the topology was wrong, correct it and download the parameters again using the commissioning software or commissioning tool.
6. G120XA: power up in the order the manual gives — switch on the AC line supply first and then the external 24V power supply at X132.
7. G120XA: carry out a hardware reset (p0972) after the AC line supply is switched on.

• r0200 (Power unit code number actual) — the display the manual cross-refers to for this fault; read it to see the power unit code number the drive is actually working with.
• p0972 (Drive unit reset) — on the G120XA, the hardware reset the manual orders once the AC line supply has been switched on.

Acknowledgment is possible immediately, as soon as the cause has been removed. The central measure in every manual is the POWER ON — switch all components off and on again. On the G120XA the switch-on order matters: AC line supply first, then the external 24V supply at X132, followed by the hardware reset via p0972 after the AC line supply is on. Where the topology had been selected incorrectly, the parameters must be downloaded again with the commissioning software or tool before the fault will stay cleared.
