What it means

F07815 tells you the drive has detected a changed power unit: the code number of the actually connected power unit (r0200) does not match the code number saved for it (p0201). The fault value and the message value both point to the parameter in which the comparison found the mismatch, so you can see straight away which parameter the drive objected to.

Why it appears

  • The code number of the actual power unit does not match the saved number — compare r0200 with p0201.
  • The comparison only produces this fault if the comparator in p9906 or p9908 is not at 2 (low) or 3 (minimum).

What to check

  1. Read the code number of the actually connected power unit in r0200 and compare it with the saved number in p0201. The fault value in r0949, interpreted as a decimal number, gives the number of the incorrect parameter.
  2. Decide whether to restore the original unit or accept the new one. To restore: Connect the original power unit and switch on the Control Unit again (POWER ON). To accept: set p0201 to the actual value r0200 and exit commissioning with p0010 = 0.
  3. If the drive object is an infeed: use line reactors or line filters that are specified for the new power unit, then carry out a line supply and DC link identification routine with p3410 = 5. The manual states that changing the power unit without re-commissioning is not possible if the type of infeed (A_Infeed, B_Infeed, S_Infeed), the type of construction/design (booksize, chassis) or the voltage class differ between the old and new power units.
  4. If the drive object is an inverter and the new power unit is accepted: reduce the current limit p0640 if required by the lower maximum current of the power unit (r0209); the torque limits stay the same.
  5. If the motor was replaced as well, or motor data is still to be downloaded via DRIVE-CLiQ, re-commission the motor — for example with p0010 = 1; the entries for the vector drive objects give p3900 = 3 and p1900 = 1, 2 as the example settings and refer to r0203 for a changed power unit type.
  6. If the comparison stage in p9906 is set to 2 or 3, the manual notes for the SERVO and VECTOR drive objects that commissioning can simply be exited (p0010 = 0) and the fault acknowledged; for the vector drive objects it adds the caution that this procedure is not recommended for different power unit types.

Reading the message value

  • The fault value in r0949 is interpreted as a decimal number and contains the number of the incorrect parameter.
  • The message value shows the same information as "Parameter: %1", where %1 is that parameter number.

Parameters the manual names

  • r0200 — code number of the actually connected power unit; compare it with p0201 and use it as the target value when accepting a replacement unit.
  • p0201 — saved power unit code number; set it to r0200 to accept the connected unit, or restore the original unit so the numbers match again.
  • r0949 — fault value; read it as a decimal number, it names the parameter whose comparison failed.
  • p9906 — comparison level for all components; at 2 (low) or 3 (minimum) the comparison does not raise this fault, and at 2 or 3 commissioning can be exited and the fault acknowledged.

  • p0010 — commissioning parameter filter; set to 0 to exit commissioning after accepting the new power unit.
  • p3410 — infeed identification method; set to 5 to run the line supply and DC link identification routine after replacing an infeed power unit.
  • p0640 — current limit; if the new power unit is accepted, reduce it if required by the lower maximum current of the new unit.
  • r0209 — power unit maximum current; the value by which p0640 may need to be reduced after the change (torque limits stay the same).
  • p3900 — completion of quick commissioning; the manual gives p3900 = 3 as an example setting when the motor must be re-commissioned after the change.
  • p1900 — motor data identification and rotating measurement; the manual gives p1900 = 1, 2 as the example settings for that motor re-commissioning.

Acknowledging and restarting

Two ways back into service. If the original power unit is reconnected, switch the Control Unit on again (POWER ON) and the saved number matches the connected unit once more. If the replacement unit is kept, set p0201 to r0200, exit commissioning with p0010 = 0 and acknowledge the fault. If the comparison stage in p9906 is set to 2 or 3, commissioning can simply be exited (p0010 = 0) and the fault acknowledged — the manual cautions for the vector drive objects that this procedure is not recommended for different power unit types. Before an infeed returns to service, the line supply and DC link identification routine (p3410 = 5) must have been carried out, together with motor re-commissioning where the motor was changed too.
