What it means
A07015 is the drive's early warning that the evaluation of the motor temperature sensor has detected an error. Which sensor is evaluated is set via p0601 (sensor type) and, on drive objects that select the sensor explicitly, p0600 (motor temperature sensor for monitoring). With the message, the drive starts the time in p0607: If the fault is still present after this time has expired, then fault F07016 is output; however, at the earliest, 50 ms after alarm A07015.
The alarm itself does not stop the drive — it is the last warning before the sensor problem escalates into fault F07016.
Why it appears
- Wire breakage or sensor not connected — the drive recognises this from the sensor resistance. The wire-break thresholds differ between the manuals: KTY: R > 1630 Ohm and PT1000: R > 1720 Ohm on some drives, KTY: R > 2120 Ohm and PT1000: R > 2120 Ohm on others.
- Measured resistance too low: PTC: R < 20 Ohm, KTY: R < 50 Ohm, PT1000: R < 603 Ohm.
What to check
- Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret decimal): if SME/TM120 is selected (p0601 = 10, 11), it contains the number of the temperature channel that led to the message, so you know which sensor input to examine.
- Make sure that the sensor is connected correctly — a resistance check against the thresholds listed under causes shows whether the drive is seeing wire breakage or a resistance that is too low.
- Check the sensor parameterization: p0601 (sensor type) on every drive, plus p0600 (which sensor is monitored) on the drive objects that use it.
- On the drive objects that have this parameter: check the setting of the lower threshold (p4622).
Reading the message value
Where the manual prints a message value, it is the placeholder %1: the drive fills it with the alarm value, which is held in r2124 and is to be interpreted decimal.
- With SME/TM120 selected (p0601 = 10, 11), the alarm value is the number of the temperature channel leading to the message.
Parameters the manual names
- p0600 (Motor temperature sensor for monitoring) — selects the sensor being monitored; check its assignment for this alarm on the drive objects that use it.

This message is an alarm, not a fault: it does not stop the drive and requires no acknowledgement. What it does is start the time in p0607 — clear the sensor problem while the alarm is still only an alarm, because once that time has expired the drive outputs fault F07016, at the earliest 50 ms after A07015.
