A02063 — Trace: Invalid data type

A02063 is an alarm from the trace function. A signal to be traced is selected via a physical address, and the data type specified for this selection is invalid — for example in the entry that chooses the trigger signal or one of the recorded signals. The manuals for the individual converter families describe the message identically, so the meaning is the same on every drive. The message concerns only how the signal is selected in the trace configuration; the other trace alarms are listed on their own pages.

• The data type specified to select a signal using a physical address is invalid. The manuals print this single cause and name no other.

1. Look at the trace signal selection and find the entry in which a signal is selected via a physical address with an invalid data type. The manual points to the trigger signal (p4711) and the record signals p4730, p4731, p4732 and p4733 as the parameters involved.
2. Enter a valid data type in the affected parameter — this is the complete remedy the manual gives.

• p4711 — trace trigger signal: check which data type selects the trigger signal here and set a valid data type.
• p4730 — trace record signal 0: check the data type of the signal selected for recording and correct it if it is invalid.
• p4731 — trace record signal 1: the data type used to select this recorded signal must also be valid.
• p4732 — trace record signal 2: the data type used to select this recorded signal must also be valid.
• p4733 — trace record signal 3: the data type used to select this recorded signal must also be valid.

The alarm needs no acknowledgement and the drive takes no automatic action because of it. Once a valid data type has been entered in the affected trace parameter, the message is resolved on its own — no special restart procedure is described.
