What it means
A02057 is raised by the trace function when the time slice clock cycle selected for the trace does not match any of the time slices that exist in the drive. The G120, G130, G150, S120 and S150 manuals describe the message identically: it is a pure parameterization message, telling you that the cycle set for the trace is simply not one of the cycle times the drive actually provides. The alarm triggers no protective reaction and needs no acknowledgment — resolving it is purely a matter of correcting the trace parameterization.
Why it appears
- The time slice clock cycle selected for the trace does not match any of the existing time slices — the cycle entered in p4723 (Trace time slice cycle) is not one of the time slices the drive actually has.
What to check
- Read out the existing time slices via r7901 (Sampling times); this shows which time slice clock cycles the drive actually offers.
- Enter one of these existing time slice clock cycles in p4723 (Trace time slice cycle).
Parameters the manual names
- p4723 — Trace time slice cycle: holds the selected time slice clock cycle; this is the value that must be changed to an existing time slice to clear A02057.
- r7901 — Sampling times: the existing time slices can be read out here, so you can pick a valid clock cycle for p4723.
Acknowledging and restarting
No acknowledgment is required. The alarm is resolved by correcting the parameterization: once p4723 contains one of the existing time slice clock cycles read from r7901, the invalid selection is gone.
What differs between the drive families
Straight from the manuals' own fields — A02057 is not described identically everywhere.

Questions technicians ask
What does alarm A02057 mean on a SINAMICS drive?
The time slice clock cycle selected for the trace function does not match any of the existing time slices. It is a parameterization message: the cycle set for the trace is not one of the cycle times the drive actually offers.
How do I fix A02057?
Read out the existing time slices via r7901 (Sampling times) and enter one of those clock cycles in p4723 (Trace time slice cycle).
Does A02057 need to be acknowledged or does it stop the drive?
No acknowledgment is required and the alarm triggers no protective reaction. It is gone once a valid time slice clock cycle is entered in p4723.
