A02056 — Trace: Recording cycle too short

A02056 — “Trace: Recording cycle too short” — is an alarm from the trace function: the recording cycle selected for the trace is shorter than the basic clock cycle of the drive. For G130, G150, S120 and S150 the manuals tie this limit to the selected basic clock cycle 0 in p0110[0]; the G120 manual states the same limit directly as the basic clock cycle 500µs. With the cycle as set, the trace cannot record, so the trace cycle has to be corrected in the parameterization.

• The trace has been given a recording cycle that is shorter than the selected basic clock cycle 0, which is set in p0110[0]. The cycle itself is held in p4720 (Trace recording cycle), to which the manuals refer for this message.
• On G120 the same condition is worded with the concrete value: the selected recording clock cycle is lower than the basic clock cycle 500µs.

1. Read the trace recording cycle currently set in p4720.
2. Compare it with the basic clock cycle that applies: basic clock cycle 0 in p0110[0] (on G120: the basic clock cycle 500µs).
3. Increase the value for the trace cycle in p4720 until the recording cycle is no shorter than this basic clock cycle.

• p4720 (Trace recording cycle / Trace record_cyc) — the trace cycle whose value this alarm requires you to increase; it must not be set shorter than the basic clock cycle.

The alarm follows directly from the p4720 setting: once the trace cycle has been increased so that it no longer falls below the basic clock cycle (p0110[0]; 500µs on G120), the message disappears by itself.
