A02051 — Trace: recording not possible as a result of know-how protection

A02051 is an alarm from the trace function: a recording cannot be carried out because at least one of the signals involved — a recorded signal or the trigger signal — is under know-how protection. The cause lies on the configuration and commissioning side, not in a hardware fault. The same alarm text is used on the G120, G130, G150, S120 and S150.

• A trace function is configured on the drive, and at least one signal that it uses — one of the recorded signals or the trigger signal — is under know-how protection, so the trace recording is not possible.
• The protected signal can be one of the trace record signals (p4730 to p4737) or the trace trigger signal (p4711).

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 to identify the recorder concerned: on the G120, G130 and G150 the value is interpreted as a decimal number — 1: Recorder 0, 2: Recorder 1, 3: Recorders 0 and 1. On the S120 and S150 it is interpreted as hexadecimal bbbbaaaa, where aaaa identifies the recorder and bbbb is the parameter number (hexadecimal) that was not able to be written to.
2. Use the trace configuration to find the signal under know-how protection: the trace control (p4700), the trace trigger signal (p4711) and the trace record signals 0 to 7 (p4730 to p4737) show which signals the recorder uses.
3. Then apply one of the remedies: temporarily activate or deactivate know-how protection (p7766), include the signal in the OEM exception list (p7763 sets the number of indices for p7764, p7764 is the exception list itself), or — where relevant — do not record the signal.

• The drive stores the alarm value in r2124.
• G120, G130, G150 — interpret r2124 as a decimal number: 1: Recorder 0, 2: Recorder 1, 3: Recorders 0 and 1.
• S120, S150 — interpret r2124 as hexadecimal bbbbaaaa: aaaa = 1: recorder 0; aaaa = 2: recorder 1; aaaa = 3: recorders 0 and 1; bbbb = parameter number (hexadecimal) that was not able to be written to.
• Message value: initiating recorder: %1, parameter %2 (S120, S150); involves %1 (G130, G150).

• r2124 — alarm value: shows which recorder is affected and, on the S120/S150, the number of the parameter that could not be written to.
• p4700 — trace control: the configuration of the trace function whose recording is blocked.
• p4711 — trace trigger signal: the trigger of the trace; its source can be the signal under know-how protection.
• p4730 to p4737 — trace record signals 0 to 7: the signals the trace records; check here which one is protected.
• p7766 — KHP password input: used to temporarily activate or deactivate know-how protection.
• p7763 — KHP OEM exception list, number of indices for p7764: sets how many entries the OEM exception list has.
• p7764 — KHP OEM exception list: the list into which the affected signal is included.

This alarm requires no acknowledgement, and the drive takes no automatic action in response to it. Nothing has to be reset: the condition is removed by the configuration changes themselves — temporarily activating or deactivating know-how protection (p7766), including the signal in the OEM exception list (p7763, p7764) or no longer recording the signal.
