What it means
A02058 is the alarm Trace: Time slice clock cycle for endless trace not valid
. It is raised by the trace function when the time slice clock cycle selected for an endless trace is one that cannot be used for that trace. The clock cycle is selected in p4723; which time slices actually exist in the drive can be read from r7901. The alarm itself triggers no drive reaction and does not need to be acknowledged — it only marks the invalid trace parameterization.

What to check
- Read out via r7901 which time slices exist in the drive and with which cycle times.
- Determine how many recording channels the trace uses, because the permissible cycle time depends on this: at least 2 ms for up to 4 recording channels per trace, or at least 4 ms from 5 recording channels per trace.
- Enter in p4723 the clock cycle of an existing time slice that meets this requirement for the number of recording channels used.
