A01381Topology: Line Module incorrectly inserted

What it means

A01381 is raised by the topology comparison when it finds, in the actual topology, a component that is not inserted where the project expects it. The manual raises the alarm in three variants — the message text, the alarm value and the remedy are identical, only the component differs: for a power unit, for a Motor Module and for a Line Module. For the Motor Module and the Line Module the manual expresses the cause as incorrectly inserted with respect to the target technology. While the alarm is present, The drive system is no longer booted. In this state, the drive control (closed-loop) cannot be enabled. The commissioning tool offers improved diagnostics capability under Topology --> Topology view (e.g. setpoint/actual value comparison).

Why it appears

  • The topology comparison has detected a component in the actual topology that has been incorrectly inserted: a power unit, a Motor Module or a Line Module, depending on which component is affected.
  • For the Motor Module and the Line Module the manuals state that the module was inserted incorrectly with respect to the target technology.

What to check

  1. Identify the component and the connection from the alarm value in r2124, which is interpreted hexadecimal — see the decoding below; component class and connection number are described in F01375.
  2. Open Topology --> Topology view in the commissioning tool; where relevant it offers improved diagnostics capability, e.g. a setpoint/actual value comparison.
  3. Correct the actual topology: insert the components involved at the right connection.
  4. Alternatively, correct the target topology: adapt the project/parameterizing in the commissioning tool.
  5. Alternatively, remove the topology error automatically with p9904.

Reading the message value

The alarm text reads Component: %1, to %2, %3, connection: %4; the same four values are packed into the alarm value, which the manual says to interpret hexadecimal as ddccbbaa:

  • dd = connection number (%4)
  • cc = component number (%3)
  • bb = component class (%2)
  • aa = component number of the incorrectly inserted component (%1)

Parameters the manual names

  • r2124 (alarm value): holds the alarm value of this alarm; read it hexadecimal as ddccbbaa to find the connection number, component number, component class and the component number of the incorrectly inserted component.

Acknowledging and restarting

No acknowledgment is required: the alarm is cleared by removing the topology difference itself. Either reinsert the component at the right connection, adapt the project/parameterizing in the commissioning tool so the target topology matches, or acknowledge the topology comparison differences with p9904. As long as the alarm is present the drive system is no longer booted and the closed-loop drive control cannot be enabled in this state.
