A01389Topology: Motor with DRIVE-CLiQ incorrectly inserted

What it means

A01389 is raised by the drive's topology comparison: it has found a motor with DRIVE-CLiQ in the actual topology that is incorrectly inserted with respect to the target topology — the motor sits at a DRIVE-CLiQ connection other than the one the project expects. While this topology error is present, the drive system is no longer booted, and in this state the drive control (closed-loop) cannot be enabled. The alarm itself triggers no further automatic response from the drive; the effective consequence is the blocked boot and the disabled closed-loop control.

Why it appears

  • A motor with DRIVE-CLiQ is inserted at a connection that does not match the target topology, and the topology comparison detects this difference between the actual and the target topology.

What to check

  1. Identify the components involved from the alarm value in r2124 (see below).
  2. Under Topology --> Topology view the commissioning software or commissioning tool offers improved diagnostics capability where relevant, for example a setpoint/actual value comparison, showing where the actual and the target topology differ.
  3. Either insert the components involved at the right connection, correcting the actual topology, or adapt the project/parameterization in the commissioning software, correcting the target topology.
  4. Alternatively, remove the topology error automatically with p9904.

The alarm text names the affected component and the connection: Component: %1, to %2, %3, connection: %4. The alarm value for this alarm is stored in r2124 and must be interpreted hexadecimal; it is structured as ddccbbaa:

  • dd = connection number (%4)

As long as the error is present, the drive system is not booted and the closed-loop drive control cannot be enabled, so the drive becomes ready for operation only once the actual and the target topology match.
