What it means

A01362 is raised when at least one topology rule for the SINAMICS S120 Combi has been broken: the DRIVE-CLiQ wiring between the NCU, the S120 Combi, the Motor Modules, a Terminal Module 54F (TM54F), a DRIVE-CLiQ Hub Module (DMC20, DME20), the NX15 or the sensor modules does not match the socket assignments the rules permit. The manual adds that when the condition occurs as a fault, ramping up of the drive system is aborted and closed-loop drive control is not enabled.

Why it appears

  • A module is plugged into a DRIVE-CLiQ socket its type may not use, or a component is present more often than the rules allow, so the actual topology no longer matches the permitted one.
  • The two manuals do not print identical rule lists: one numbers the rules 1 to 19, the other 1 to 13. The longer list also covers the NX15 and quantity limits such as a single TM54F and a single hub module, and individual socket rules differ in detail — always match the alarm value against the list that applies to your drive.

What to check

  1. The remedy is to Evaluate the alarm value and ensure compliance with the corresponding topology rule(s). Concretely: read r2124 as a decimal number — the value is the number of the violated rule.
  2. Compare the actual DRIVE-CLiQ wiring at the sockets the named rule mentions with what that rule permits.
  3. Correct the wiring so the rule is kept — move the module to a socket the rule permits, or remove a component that exceeds a permitted quantity.
  4. Re-evaluate r2124 afterwards; if an alarm value is still present, ensure compliance with the rule it now names.

Reading the message value

  • The alarm value is held in r2124 and is interpreted as a decimal number; it names the violated rule by number. Where the 19-rule and 13-rule lists differ, the difference is noted below.
  • Rules 1 to 3, NCU sockets: the S120 Combi is wired only via DRIVE-CLiQ socket X200 to X100 on the NCU. X101 takes one Single Motor Module (SMM) or one Double Motor Module (DMM) via X200 — per the 19-rule list alternatively a TM54F or a DRIVE-CLiQ Hub Module (DMC20, DME20) via X500. X102 takes a TM54F or a hub module via X500, or an NX15 via X100.
  • Rules 4 and 5, sensor sockets: only Sensor Modules go to X201 up to X203 (3-axis) and X204 (4-axis) on the Combi. X205 takes SMC/SME Sensor Modules and DRIVE-CLiQ encoders — the 13-rule list allows only one SMC20 or SME20 there.
  • Rules 6 to 9 and 12, expansion axes: with an SMM as first expansion axis, one further SMM is connected in X201 via X200, or a TM54F or hub module via X500. X202 on any SMM present takes only Sensor Modules — the 19-rule list also permits DRIVE-CLiQ encoders there. At a second SMM or a DMM, X201 takes a TM54F or hub module via X500 (13-rule list: nothing at all). With a DMM as expansion axis, only Sensor Modules go to X202 and X203. Only certain Motor Modules may be used for expansion axes.
  • Rules 10, 13 to 15, TM54F and hub: a maximum of one TM54F and one DRIVE-CLiQ Hub Module (DMC20, DME20) is permitted. The hub connects via X500 to X501 of the TM54F and may not be connected elsewhere. Its ports X501 to X505 take only SMC/SME Sensor Modules and DRIVE-CLiQ encoders. On a 3-axis Combi, X503 on the hub module stays empty.
  • Rules 16 to 19, NX15: X100 on the NX15 goes to X102 on the NCU; the Combi connects via X200 to X101 on the NX15; X102 on the NX15 takes one SMM or DMM via X200 or a TM54F or hub module via X500; X103 on the NX15 stays empty.
