What it means
A01045 is an alarm from the Control Unit: the configuring data is invalid. The Control Unit detected an error while evaluating the parameter files PSxxxyyy.ACX, PTxxxyyy.ACX, CAxxxyyy.ACX or CCxxxyyy.ACX saved in the non-volatile memory. Because of this error, several of the saved parameter values may, under certain circumstances, not have been accepted. The manuals describe this alarm identically for G120, G120XA, G130, G150, S120 and S150; only the parameters used for the factory reset and for saving differ between the families.
Why it appears
- The Control Unit found an error while evaluating one of the parameter files PSxxxyyy.ACX, PTxxxyyy.ACX, CAxxxyyy.ACX or CCxxxyyy.ACX stored in the non-volatile memory.
- Depending on the error, several of the saved parameter values could not be accepted.
What to check
- Check the parameters displayed in r9406 up to r9408 and correct them if required: r9406 shows the number of the PS-file parameter that was not transferred, r9407 its index, and r9408 the associated fault code.
- Restore the factory setting — with p0976 = 1 on S120, S150, G130 and G150, or with p0970 = 1 on G120 and G120XA.
- Re-load the project into the converter (S120/S150) or into the drive unit (G120, G120XA, G130, G150).
- Save the parameterization in STARTER using the function "Copy RAM to ROM", or set p0977 = 1 (S120, S150, G130, G150) or p0971 = 1 (G120, G120XA).
This overwrites the incorrect parameter files in the non-volatile memory – and this alarm is withdrawn.
Reading the message value
- The drive writes an alarm value into r2124, to be interpreted hexadecimal. The manual gives no decoding for it: the value is
Only for internal Siemens troubleshooting
.
Parameters the manual names
- r9406 — read it to find the number of the PS-file parameter that was not transferred ("PS file parameter number parameter not transferred").
- r9407 — read it to find the index of the PS-file parameter that was not transferred ("PS file parameter index parameter not transferred").
- r9408 — read it to find the fault code of the PS-file parameter that was not transferred ("PS file fault code parameter not transferred").
- r2124 — holds the alarm value of A01045, to be interpreted hexadecimal; reserved for internal Siemens troubleshooting.
- p0976 (reset and load all parameters) — set to 1 to restore the factory setting on S120, S150, G130 and G150.
- p0977 (save all parameters) — set to 1 to save the parameterization on S120, S150, G130 and G150, as an alternative to "Copy RAM to ROM" in STARTER.
- p0970 (reset drive parameters) — set to 1 to restore the factory setting on G120 and G120XA.
- p0971 (save parameters) — set to 1 to save the parameterization on G120 and G120XA after the project has been re-loaded.
Acknowledging and restarting
Nothing has to be acknowledged here. The alarm is withdrawn on its own once the incorrect parameter files in the non-volatile memory have been overwritten — that is, after the factory reset, the re-load of the project and the saving of the parameterization described under Checks. No further restart step is described for this alarm.

Questions technicians ask
What does SINAMICS alarm A01045 mean?
The Control Unit detected an error while evaluating the parameter files PSxxxyyy.ACX, PTxxxyyy.ACX, CAxxxyyy.ACX or CCxxxyyy.ACX in the non-volatile memory. Because of this, several of the saved parameter values may not have been accepted.
How do I clear A01045?
Check the parameters shown in r9406 up to r9408 and correct them if required, restore the factory setting (p0976 = 1 on S120/S150/G130/G150, p0970 = 1 on G120/G120XA) and re-load the project. Then save with "Copy RAM to ROM" in STARTER or with p0977 = 1 / p0971 = 1; the faulty parameter files are overwritten and the alarm is withdrawn.
Does A01045 have to be acknowledged?
No. The alarm is withdrawn automatically once the incorrect parameter files have been overwritten by the factory reset, the project re-load and the saving of the parameterization.
Which parameters show what A01045 affects?
r9406 shows the PS-file parameter number that was not transferred, r9407 the index and r9408 the fault code. The alarm value in r2124 is interpreted hexadecimal and is only for internal Siemens troubleshooting.
