What it means
When the Control Unit boots, it looks for a complete data set in its parameter back-up files. A01035 (ACX: Parameter back-up file corrupted) reports that none was found: the last time the parameterization was saved, the save was not carried out completely — possibly because the drive was switched off or the memory card was withdrawn while the backup was running. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be issued as a fault (F).
Why it appears
- When the Control Unit booted, no complete data set was found in the parameter back-up files.
- The last time the parameterization was saved, it was not carried out completely.
- The backup may have been interrupted by switching off or by withdrawing the memory card.
What to check
- Read the alarm value in r2124 and interpret it hexadecimal (format ddccbbaa); the low byte aa tells you which backup case occurred at power up — see the decoding below.
- Where the drive loaded a backup data record (aa = 02, and on G120/G120XA also aa = 03), check the parameterization; the manuals recommend downloading it again.
- Download the project again with the commissioning tool / commissioning software.
- Save the parameters afterwards: on G120 and G120XA set p0971 = 1, on S120/S150 and G130/G150 set p0977 = 1 — in each case alternatively via
copy RAM to ROM
.
Reading the message value
- The alarm value is stored in r2124; interpret it hexadecimal as ddccbbaa.
- aa = 01 hex: power up was realized without data backup — the drive is in the factory setting.
- aa = 02 hex: the last available backup data record was loaded (on G120/G120XA: the last available internal backup data record). The parameterization must be checked; it is recommended that the parameterization is downloaded again.
- aa = 03 hex (printed for G120/G120XA): the last available data record from the memory card was loaded — the parameterization must be checked.
- aa = 04 hex (printed for G120/G120XA): an invalid data backup was loaded from the memory card into the drive — the drive is in the factory setting.
- dd, cc, bb: only for internal Siemens troubleshooting.
Parameters the manual names
- r2124 — alarm value: read here and interpret hexadecimal to identify which backup case the drive found at power up.
- p0971 — save drive object parameters: on G120/G120XA set to 1 (or
copy RAM to ROM
) to save the parameterization again after re-downloading. - p0977 — save all parameters: on S120/S150 and G130/G150 set to 1 (or
copy RAM to ROM
) to save all parameters again after re-downloading.
Acknowledging and restarting
No acknowledgement is required for this alarm. If the drive's configuration outputs the same condition as a fault instead, it is acknowledged immediately once the cause has been eliminated; the manuals list no automatic drive reaction for it. Because the check runs when the Control Unit boots, the drive re-evaluates the backup files at the next power up — after re-downloading the project and saving the parameters, the message should no longer reappear.
What differs between the drive families

Questions technicians ask
What does SINAMICS alarm A01035 mean?
When the Control Unit booted, no complete data set was found in the parameter back-up files. The last parameter save was incomplete, possibly interrupted by switching off or by withdrawing the memory card.
How do I fix A01035?
Download the project again with the commissioning tool, then save all parameters: p0971 = 1 on G120/G120XA, p0977 = 1 on S120/S150 and G130/G150, or use "copy RAM to ROM".
Where can I read the alarm value for A01035?
In r2124, interpreted hexadecimal as ddccbbaa. The low byte aa shows whether the drive powered up in the factory setting (aa = 01) or which backup data record was loaded.
Does A01035 have to be acknowledged?
As an alarm, no acknowledgement is required. If the condition is output as a fault, it is acknowledged immediately, and the drive takes no automatic reaction.
