A01017Component lists changed

What it means

SINAMICS raises alarm A01017 "Component lists changed" when one of the component list files on the memory card no longer matches the status supplied from the factory. The files concerned are those in the directory /SIEMENS/SINAMICS/DATA or /ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA — no changes are permitted in these directories.

The alarm is raised for the Control Unit (CU). The drive stores an alarm value in r2124 which, read as a decimal number, identifies the problem, the directory and the affected file. The alarm triggers no drive reaction and does not need to be acknowledged.

Why it appears

  • One of the component list files on the memory card, in the directory /SIEMENS/SINAMICS/DATA or /ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA, has been illegally changed compared with the status supplied from the factory.
  • No changes are permitted in these directories.

What to check

  1. Read the alarm value in r2124 as a decimal number and use the decoding below to determine what the problem is, which of the two directories is affected and which file is involved.
  2. For the file on the memory card involved, restore the status originally supplied from the factory.

Reading the message value

  • The alarm value is stored in r2124 and is interpreted as a decimal number. The manuals print the digit order for this alarm differently — as zyx and as xyz — but in both cases x is the problem digit, y the directory digit and z the file name digit.
  • x — problem:
    • 1: File does not exist.
    • 2: Firmware version of the file does not match the software version.
    • 3: File checksum is incorrect.
  • y — directory:
    • 0: Directory /SIEMENS/SINAMICS/DATA/
    • 1: Directory /ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA/
  • z — file name:
    • 0: File MOTARM.ACX
    • 1: File MOTSRM.ACX
    • 2: File MOTSLM.ACX
    • 3: File ENCDATA.ACX
    • 4: File FILTDATA.ACX
    • 5: File BRKDATA.ACX
    • 6: File DAT_BEAR.ACX
    • 7: File CFG_BEAR.ACX
    • 8: File ENC_GEAR.ACX
    • 9: File CFG_BRK.ACX
    • 10: File THERMMOTMOD.ACX
    • 11: File MAPPING.ACX
    • 12: File LOADGEAR.ACX
    • 13: File MOTRSM.ACX
  • The manuals for G120 and G120XA end this file list at z = 7 (CFG_BEAR.ACX); the other manuals continue to z = 13 (MOTRSM.ACX).

Parameters the manual names

  • r2124 (alarm value) — for this alarm, read the value in r2124 as a decimal number to identify the problem, the directory and the affected file on the memory card.

Acknowledging and restarting

This alarm triggers no drive reaction and requires no acknowledgement. The remedy is to restore the affected file on the memory card to the status originally supplied from the factory.

Questions technicians ask

What does SINAMICS alarm A01017 Component lists changed mean?

A file in the directory /SIEMENS/SINAMICS/DATA or /ADDON/SINAMICS/DATA on the memory card has been illegally changed compared with the status supplied from the factory. No changes are permitted in these directories.

How can I see which file triggered A01017?

Read the alarm value in r2124 and interpret it as a decimal number. The digits identify the problem, the directory and the file — for example z = 0 means MOTARM.ACX and z = 13 means MOTRSM.ACX.

Does A01017 have to be acknowledged?

No. The alarm triggers no drive reaction and requires no acknowledgement; the remedy is to restore the affected file on the memory card to the status originally supplied from the factory.

Which files belong to the SINAMICS component lists?

MOTARM.ACX, MOTSRM.ACX, MOTSLM.ACX, ENCDATA.ACX, FILTDATA.ACX, BRKDATA.ACX, DAT_BEAR.ACX, CFG_BEAR.ACX, ENC_GEAR.ACX, CFG_BRK.ACX, THERMMOTMOD.ACX, MAPPING.ACX, LOADGEAR.ACX and MOTRSM.ACX.
