A01006 — Firmware update for DRIVE-CLiQ component required

A01006 is raised when the firmware in a DRIVE-CLiQ component is not usable for operation with the Control Unit: the component carries no suitable firmware or no suitable firmware version, so its firmware must be updated. The alarm points to the affected component by number, and the update can be carried out either with the commissioning tool or directly through parameters. The manuals describe this alarm in the same way for SINAMICS G130, G150, S120 and S150.

• A DRIVE-CLiQ component holds no firmware, or no firmware version, that suits operation with the Control Unit, so the firmware of that component has to be updated.

1. Identify the component: take the component number of the affected DRIVE-CLiQ component from the alarm value in r2124, interpreted as a decimal number.
2. Update the firmware with the commissioning tool: in the Project Navigator, under Configuration of the associated drive unit, the firmware versions of all components can be read on the Version overview page and an appropriate firmware update carried out from there.
3. Alternatively, update via parameters: enter the component number taken from the alarm value into p7828 and start the firmware download with p7829 = 1.

• The message value contains the component number of the DRIVE-CLiQ component that needs the update — the manual prints it as Component number: %1, where %1 stands for that number.
• The alarm value in r2124 is to be interpreted as a decimal number and gives the component number of the DRIVE-CLiQ component.

• r2124 — alarm value; read it as a decimal number to obtain the component number of the DRIVE-CLiQ component whose firmware must be updated.
• p7828 — firmware download component number; enter here the component number taken from the alarm value before starting the download.
• p7829 — activate firmware download; set to 1 to start the firmware download for the component number entered in p7828.

No acknowledgement is required for this alarm, and the drive takes no automatic action in response to it. The alarm is a prompt to update the firmware of the component named by the alarm value; carrying out that update is the action that resolves the situation.
