F13100 — Know-how protection: Copy protection error

F13100 means that know-how protection (KHP) is active together with copy protection for the memory card, and the drive has found an error while checking that memory card. The copy protection binds the protected data to a specific memory card — and, for two of the fault values, to a specific Control Unit. The drive stores a fault value in r0949, which is interpreted as a decimal number; that value tells you which check failed. The drive is switched off with OFF1 and only runs again once the fault has been acknowledged.

• The know-how protection with copy protection for the memory card is active, and an error occurred when the drive checked the memory card.
• Value 0: a memory card is not inserted.
• Value 1: an invalid memory card is inserted — it is not SIEMENS. This value is listed in the manuals for G120 and G120XA.
• Value 2: an invalid memory card is inserted.
• Value 3: the memory card is being used in another Control Unit.
• Value 12: an invalid memory card is inserted because the OEM input in p7769 (KHP memory card reference serial number) is incorrect.
• Value 13: the memory card is being used in another Control Unit because the OEM input in p7759 (KHP Control Unit reference serial number) is incorrect.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number.
2. For value 0 (and value 1 where it is reported): insert the correct memory card and carry out POWER ON — switch the converter supply voltage temporarily off and then on again.
3. For values 2, 3, 12 and 13: contact the responsible OEM.
4. Then either deactivate copy protection via p7765 and acknowledge the fault with p3981, or deactivate know-how protection via p7766 ... p7768 and acknowledge the fault with p3981.
5. Before changing anything, note: In general, the copy protection can only be changed when know-how protection is deactivated.

• 0 — a memory card is not inserted.
• 1 — an invalid memory card is inserted (not SIEMENS); only the G120 and G120XA manuals list this value.
• 2 — an invalid memory card is inserted.
• 3 — the memory card is being used in another Control Unit.
• 12 — an invalid memory card is inserted; the OEM input in p7769 is incorrect.
• 13 — the memory card is being used in another Control Unit; the OEM input in p7759 is incorrect.

• r0949 — displays the fault value of F13100; read it as a decimal number to see why the memory-card check failed.
• p7765 — KHP configuration; use it to deactivate copy protection when the memory card has been rejected.
• p7766 — KHP password input; enter the know-how protection password here to deactivate know-how protection.
• p7768 — KHP password confirmation; confirms the password when deactivating know-how protection.
• p3981 — acknowledges the drive-object fault; acknowledge F13100 with it after copy or know-how protection has been deactivated.
• p7769 — KHP memory card reference serial number; fault value 12 means the OEM input in this parameter is incorrect.
• p7759 — KHP Control Unit reference serial number; fault value 13 means the OEM input in this parameter is incorrect.

Acknowledge the fault with p3981 once the cause has been removed. If the memory card was missing or invalid (values 0 and 1), insert the correct card and carry out POWER ON — switch the converter supply voltage temporarily off and then on again. If the card was rejected (values 2, 3, 12, 13), contact the responsible OEM first and then deactivate copy protection (p7765) or know-how protection (p7766 ... p7768), acknowledging with p3981 after each step. The drive only restarts once the fault has been acknowledged.
