F13102Know-how protection: Consistency error of the protected data

What it means

F13102 is raised by the Know-How protection function, which the manuals abbreviate KHP. When the drive checks its protected files, an error was identified when checking the consistency of the protected files. The consequence is that the project on the memory card cannot be run. Every manual that documents this fault describes the same condition and the same remedy, so the description below applies to all of these SINAMICS families alike.

Why it appears

  • The consistency check of the protected Know-How files failed — an error was found in the protected data.
  • Because the check failed, the project on the memory card cannot be run.

What to check

  1. Replace the project on the memory card, or replace the project files that are used for the download from the memory card.
  2. Alternatively, restore the factory setting and download the project again.

Reading the message value

  • The drive stores the fault value in r0949; interpret it hexadecimal as yyyyxxxx hex, where yyyy is the object number and xxxx is the fault cause.
  • xxxx = 1: a file has a checksum error.
  • xxxx = 2: the files are not consistent with one another.
  • xxxx = 3: the project files, which were loaded into the file system via load (download from the memory card), are inconsistent.

Parameters the manual names

  • r0949 — fault value of F13102; read it hexadecimal to split it into the object number (yyyy) and the fault cause (xxxx = 1, 2 or 3) listed above.

Acknowledging and restarting

The fault can be acknowledged immediately. Because the drive responds with an OFF1 stop, the motor is ramped down to standstill before it can restart. Acknowledging alone does not repair anything: as long as the protected project on the memory card is inconsistent, the project cannot be run. Replace the project or the download files, or restore the factory setting and download again, as described above, before restarting the drive.

What differs between the drive families

Straight from the manuals' own fields — F13102 is not described identically everywhere.

Questions technicians ask

What does SINAMICS fault F13102 mean?

The Know-How protection function found a consistency error in the protected files. As a consequence, the project on the memory card cannot be run.

How do I clear fault F13102?

Replace the project on the memory card or the project files for the download from the memory card. If that is not possible, restore the factory setting and download the project again.

What does the F13102 fault value in r0949 show?

Read r0949 hexadecimal as yyyyxxxx: yyyy is the object number and xxxx is the cause — 1 a file checksum error, 2 the files are inconsistent with one another, 3 the downloaded project files are inconsistent.

Why does acknowledging F13102 not solve the problem?

Acknowledging only clears the message; the drive reacts with an OFF1 stop and the project still cannot be run until the protected data is replaced or the drive is reset to the factory setting and reloaded.
