F13000 — License not adequate

F13000 is raised by the Control Unit (CU) when the converter is using options that require a license but the available licenses do not cover them, or when an error occurred while the existing licenses were being checked. Which of these situations applies is shown by the fault value, which the drive stores in r0949 and which must be interpreted as a decimal number. The drive coasts down (OFF2) and has to be acknowledged before it will start again. Related licensing messages are listed on their own pages: F13009, F13010, F13020, F13100, F13101 and F13102.

• The converter is using options that require a license, but the licenses available are not sufficient for them.
• An error occurred when the existing licenses were being checked — the fault value in r0949 (decimal) distinguishes between an insufficient license, a memory card withdrawn in operation, missing licensing data on the card, a checksum error in the license key and an internal error during the check.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 (interpret it as a decimal number) to identify which licensing problem the Control Unit detected.
2. An overview of the converter functions that require a license can be displayed with the commissioning tool in online mode; depending on the commissioning tool, the necessary licenses can be obtained there (serial number, license key, Trial License Mode).
3. Fault value 0: additional licenses are required and must be activated with p9920 and p9921.
4. Fault value 1: with the system powered down, re-insert the memory card that matches the system.
5. Fault value 2: enter the license key and activate it with p9920 and p9921.
6. Fault value 3: compare the license key entered in p9920 with the license key on the Certificate of License, re-enter the license key and activate it with p9920 and p9921.
7. Fault value 4: carry out a POWER ON, upgrade the firmware to a later version and contact Technical Support.

• 0 — The existing license is not sufficient.
• 1 — An adequate license was not able to be determined as the memory card with the required licensing data was withdrawn in operation.
• 2 — An adequate license was not able to be determined as there is no licensing data available on the memory card.
• 3 — An adequate license was not able to be determined as there is a checksum error in the license key.
• 4 — An internal error occurred when checking the license.

• r0949 — shows the fault value of F13000; read it as a decimal number to find out which of the licensing problems (0 to 4) applies.
• p9920 — the license key is entered here; for a checksum error it is the parameter to compare against the key on the Certificate of License.
• p9921 — activates the license key entered in p9920; activating licenses here is the remedy for insufficient or missing licensing data.

Acknowledge the fault immediately once the licensing problem has been corrected; the drive coasts down and must be acknowledged before it will start again. Note that the memory card may only be re-inserted with the system powered down (fault value 1), and that fault value 4 is first handled with a POWER ON.
