F07563 — Drive encoder: XIST1_ERW configuration incorrect

The drive raises F07563 when it identifies an incorrect configuration for the “Absolute position for incremental encoder” function of the connected drive encoder. The encoder data set is then configured for this function although the Sensor Module does not provide the property it requires (r0459.13 = 0). The message value tells you which fault cause applies and which encoder data set is affected. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be issued as an alarm (A).

• An incorrect configuration was identified for the “Absolute position for incremental encoder” function of the drive encoder.
• Fault cause 1: the “Absolute value for incremental encoder” function is not supported — r0459.13 = 0, i.e. the connected Sensor Module lacks the property the configured function needs (the remedy points to a Sensor Module firmware upgrade).
• The mode set in p4652 (1 or 3) is configured although r0459.13 = 0, so the configured mode exceeds what the Sensor Module supports.

1. Read the fault value in r0949, interpreted as a decimal number: yy gives the fault cause, xx the encoder data set whose configuration was rejected.
2. For fault cause 1: upgrade the Sensor Module firmware version.
3. Check the mode set in p4652: p4652 = 1 or 3 requires the property r0459.13 = 1; if r0459.13 reads 0, the configured mode is not supported by the connected Sensor Module.

• The drive stores the value in r0949 for the fault and in r2124 when the condition appears as an alarm; interpret it as a decimal number coded as yyxx: yy = fault cause, xx = encoder data set.
• Fault cause 1 (= 01 hex): the “Absolute value for incremental encoder” function is not supported (r0459.13 = 0).

• r0949 — fault value: read the coded value here (decimal) to identify the fault cause (yy) and the affected encoder data set (xx).
• r2124 — alarm value: holds the same coded value when the condition is output as an alarm instead of the fault.
• r0459 — Sensor Module properties extended: check bit 13; it must read 1 for the configured “Absolute value for incremental encoder” function.
• p4652 — XIST1_ERW reset mode: check the set mode; 1 and 3 require r0459.13 = 1.

Once the configuration has been corrected, acknowledge the fault immediately; switching the drive power supply off and on (POWER ON) also clears it, after which the drive can be restarted. If the drive is configured to output the condition only as an alarm, no reaction follows and no acknowledgment is required.
