F07552 — Drive encoder: Encoder configuration not supported

F07552 (Drive encoder: Encoder configuration not supported) means that the requested encoder configuration is not supported. Only bits may be requested in p0404 that are signaled as being supported by the encoder evaluation in r0456. The fault value in r0949 identifies the unsupported configuration, the component number and the affected encoder data set. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be output as an alarm (A).

• The requested encoder configuration is not supported: the configuration requested in p0404 contains bits that the connected encoder evaluation does not signal as supported in r0456.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 (interpret decimal) to identify the fault cause, the component number and the encoder data set involved.
2. Check the encoder parameterization (p0400, p0404).
3. Use the matching encoder evaluation (r0456): keep only the bits set in p0404 that r0456 signals as supported. If the fault cause is 65535 (other function), compare r0456 and p0404.

• The message value contains the fault cause (%1), the component number (%2) and the encoder data set (%3).
• Fault value (r0949, interpret decimal): ccccbbaa hex — cccc = fault cause, bb = component number, aa = encoder data set.
• cccc = 1: encoder sin/cos with absolute track (is supported by SME25).
• cccc = 3: Square-wave encoder (this is supported by SMC30).
• cccc = 4: sin/cos encoder (this is supported by SMC20, SMI20, SME20, SME25).
• cccc = 10: DRIVE-CLiQ encoder (is supported by DQI).
• cccc = 12: sin/cos encoder with reference mark (this is supported by SME20).
• cccc = 15: Commutation with zero mark for separately excited synchronous motors with VECTORMV.
• cccc = 23: Resolver (this is supported by SMC10, SMI10).
• cccc = 65535: Other function (compare r0456 and p0404).

• p0400 (encoder type selection) — the selected encoder type; part of the encoder parameterization to check when this fault appears.
• p0404 (encoder configuration effective) — shows the configuration being requested; it may only contain the bits that r0456 signals as supported.
• r0456 (encoder configuration supported) — shows which configurations the encoder evaluation actually supports; use it to select the matching encoder evaluation.
• r0949 (fault value) — read here, interpreted as decimal, to break the value down into fault cause, component number and encoder data set.

The drive coasts down when the fault is triggered and will not start again until it has been acknowledged. Once the encoder parameterization has been corrected, acknowledge the fault — it can be acknowledged immediately, and a POWER ON also clears it — then restart the drive. Where the condition is output as an alarm (A) instead, it triggers no reaction and requires no acknowledgment.
