F07426Technology controller actual value limited

What it means

F07426 is raised because the actual value of the technology controller — the signal interconnected at connector input p2264 — has reached a limit. Which limit was hit is stored in the fault value r0949 (interpret decimal). Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be output as an alarm (A) instead of a fault; as an alarm it does not trip the drive and needs no acknowledgment.

Why it appears

  • The actual value of the technology controller, interconnected via connector input p2264, has reached a limit — with fault value 1 the upper limit, with fault value 2 the lower limit.

What to check

  1. Check the scaling of the actual value signal interconnected at p2264 — the compact tables of two manuals give this as the only remedy for the code.
  2. Adapt the limits to the signal level actually present: p2267 sets the upper limit and p2268 the lower limit of the technology controller actual value.
  3. Check the actual value normalization with p0595 (technological unit selection) and p0596 (technological unit reference quantity).
  4. If the application does not need limit monitoring, deactivate the evaluation of the limits via bit 3 of the technology controller configuration p2252 (p2252.3); this step is not listed in every manual for the code.

Reading the message value

The drive stores the fault value in r0949, to be interpreted decimal:

  • 1 — upper limit reached.
  • 2 — lower limit reached.

Parameters the manual names

  • p2264 (CI: Technology controller actual value) — the connector input at which the technology controller receives its actual value; check its interconnection and scaling for this fault.
  • p2267 (Technology controller upper limit actual value) — adapt the upper limit to the signal level.
  • p2268 (Technology controller lower limit actual value) — adapt the lower limit to the signal level.
  • p0595 (Technological unit selection) — used to check the actual value normalization.
  • p0596 (Technological unit reference quantity) — checked together with p0595 for the actual value normalization.
  • p2252 (Technology controller configuration) — bit 3 (p2252.3) deactivates the evaluation of the limits.
  • r0949 (Fault value) — read decimal to see whether the upper (1) or the lower (2) limit was reached.

Acknowledging and restarting

Acknowledge the fault immediately at the operator panel or in the commissioning tool; the drive restarts only after acknowledgment. If the actual value is still sitting at one of the limits, the fault is raised again right away — adapt the limits or deactivate the limit evaluation first.

What differs between the drive families

Questions technicians ask

What does fault F07426 mean on a SINAMICS drive?

The actual value of the technology controller, interconnected at connector input p2264, has reached a limit. The fault value in r0949 shows which one: 1 means the upper limit, 2 the lower limit.

How do I clear F07426?

Adapt the limits p2267 and p2268 to the actual signal level, check the normalization with p0595 and p0596, then acknowledge the fault immediately. If limit monitoring is not needed for the application, it can be deactivated with p2252.3.

Can F07426 also appear as an alarm?

Yes — depending on the drive configuration the same condition can be output as an alarm (A), in which case it does not trip the drive and requires no acknowledgment.
