F07430 — Drive: Changeover to open-loop torque controlled operation not possible

The manual titles this fault Drive: Changeover to open-loop torque controlled operation not possible. It is raised when the drive is operating encoderless and a changeover into closed-loop torque-controlled operation is requested. That request is issued as a binary signal (BI) at p1501, the signal for changing over between closed-loop speed control and closed-loop torque control. Because encoderless operation cannot execute this changeover, the converter cannot carry the request out and the fault follows.

• A changeover to closed-loop torque-controlled operation was commanded at p1501 while the drive is in encoderless operation; the converter cannot carry out this changeover in that mode.

1. Do not attempt the changeover into closed-loop torque-controlled operation while the drive operates encoderless; the changeover request at p1501 must not be set in encoderless operation. This is the only remedy the manual gives for this fault.

• p1501 — binary signal input (BI) that changes over between closed-loop speed control and closed-loop torque control; for this fault it is the signal carrying the changeover request that encoderless operation cannot follow.

The fault is cleared by acknowledging it. Since the trigger is the changeover command itself, the drive restarts normally as long as no changeover to closed-loop torque-controlled operation is commanded during encoderless operation; issuing the request at p1501 again raises the fault once more.
