A33414Encoder 3: Amplitude error track C or D (C^2 + D^2)

What it means

Encoder 3 reports that the signal level (C^2 + D^2) of track C or D — measured at the encoder or at the Hall signals — is not within the tolerance bandwidth. The nominal signal level of the encoder must lie in the range 375 mV to 600 mV (500 mV -25/+20 %); the response thresholds are under 230 mV (observe the frequency response of the encoder) and over 750 mV. A signal level of 500 mV peak value corresponds to the numerical value 5333 hex = 21299 dec. While the amplitude is outside the tolerance bandwidth, it cannot be used to initialize the start position. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be output as a fault (F) or as a message without any reaction (N) instead of this alarm.

  • A signal level of 500 mV peak value corresponds to the numerical value 5333 hex = 21299 dec, which you can use as the reference when reading r2124.
