Why it appears
- When the drive is switched off, the encoder keeps its multiturn information buffered from a battery.
- The battery voltage has fallen so far that this buffering is on the point of failing: if the voltage drops even further, the multiturn information can no longer be buffered.
What to check
- Replace the battery of Encoder 2.
Acknowledging and restarting
No acknowledgment is required for the alarm itself, and the drive does not change its operating state in response to it. The only action is to replace the battery. If the drive is configured to raise the same condition as a fault (F), that fault must be acknowledged immediately once the battery has been replaced; even as a fault the drive performs no automatic stop.
