A07530 — Drive: Drive Data Set DDS not present

The manuals title this alarm Drive: Drive Data Set DDS not present. The drive raises it when the drive data set (DDS) it is meant to use is not available: The selected drive data set is not available (p0837 > p0180). The selection then points to a data set number beyond the number of drive data sets that are set up, or a changeover of the drive data set did not take place. r0837 shows which drive data set is currently selected, and p0180 specifies how many drive data sets are configured. The drive takes no automatic action because of this alarm and no acknowledgement is needed — it reports a mismatch between the data set selection and the configured data sets, and it is resolved by correcting the selection or by setting up further data sets.

• The selected drive data set is not available: the selection points to a drive data set beyond the number of data sets configured (printed in the manuals as p0837 > p0180).
• The drive data set was not changed over — a changeover of the drive data set did not take effect.

1. Compare the currently selected drive data set (r0837) with the number of configured drive data sets (p0180) — the alarm means the selection points to a data set that does not exist.
2. Check the signal interconnection of the DDS selection bits p0820 and p0821, which determine the number of the drive data set the drive selects. The manuals for G120XA, G130/G150, S120 and S150 also name p0822, p0823 and p0824 for this message, while the G120 manual names only the bits 0 and 1.
3. Select the existing drive data set.
4. Set up additional drive data sets if you need more of them.

• p0180 — Number of Drive Data Sets (DDS): shows how many drive data sets are set up; the alarm appears when the selection points beyond this number.
• r0837 — Drive Data Set DDS selected: displays which drive data set the drive currently has selected; compare it with p0180.
• p0820 — BI: Drive Data Set selection DDS bit 0: selection bit 0; its signal interconnection contributes to the number of the drive data set the drive selects.
• p0821 — BI: Drive Data Set selection DDS bit 1: selection bit 1, same role as p0820.
• p0822 — BI: Drive Data Set selection DDS bit 2: selection bit 2 of the DDS selection.
• p0823 — BI: Drive Data Set selection DDS bit 3: selection bit 3 of the DDS selection.
• p0824 — BI: Drive Data Set selection DDS bit 4: selection bit 4 of the DDS selection.

This alarm requires no acknowledgement, and the drive performs no automatic reaction to it. It is resolved by the remedy itself: as soon as an existing drive data set is selected again or the additional drive data sets have been set up, the condition the alarm reports no longer exists.
