What it means

Why it appears

  • Concretely, the assignment in p0186 does not follow any of the structures that are valid for the configured ratio of Drive Data Sets (p0180) to Motor Data Sets (p0130).

What to check

  1. Check the interface mode in p2038 and confirm that "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" operation is really what you intend; if it is not, set the mode accordingly.
  2. Read the configured numbers of Drive Data Sets and Motor Data Sets in p0180 and p0130.
  3. Check the p0186 assignment against the structure that is valid for that DDS/MDS ratio. The manual defines these structures:
    • Equal numbers of DDS and MDS (1/1 up to 32/32): every index carries its own MDS number — p0186[0] = 0, p0186[1] = 1, ... up to p0186[31] = 31.
    • Twice as many DDS as MDS (2/1, 4/2, 8/4, 16/8, 32/16): each MDS number is shared by two consecutive DDS indices, counted from 0 — at 2/1, for example, p0186[0] and p0186[1] both equal 0.
    • Four times as many DDS as MDS (4/1, 8/2, 16/4, 32/8): four consecutive indices share one number — at 4/1, the indices 0, 1, 2 and 3 all equal 0.
    • Eight times as many DDS as MDS (8/1, 16/2, 32/4): eight consecutive indices share one number — at 32/4, the indices 0...7 = 0, 8...15 = 1, 16...23 = 2 and 24...31 = 3.
    • Sixteen times as many DDS as MDS (16/1, 32/2): sixteen consecutive indices share one number; at 32/1, all 32 indices equal 0.
    • Two MDS with 9, 10 or 12 DDS (9/2, 10/2, 12/2): the indices 0...7 = 0 and the remaining indices = 1 — at 9/2 only p0186[8] = 1, at 10/2 additionally p0186[9] = 1, at 12/2 the indices 8...11 = 1.
  4. Correct p0186 until it matches one of the valid structures, then confirm that p2038 and the data structure now agree.

Once the data structure corresponds to the selected interface mode, the condition is resolved.
