A07514 — Drive: Data structure does not correspond to the interface module

A07514 reports a configuration mismatch: the interface mode "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" has been selected (p2038 = 1), but the data structure of the drive does not correspond to this mode. The data structure here is the assignment of Motor Data Sets (MDS) to the Drive Data Sets (DDS) in p0186 — only certain assignment patterns are valid in this interface mode, and which pattern is valid depends on how many DDS and MDS are configured. Depending on the drive configuration, the same condition can also be issued with no reaction (N) instead of as an alarm.

• The IF1 STW/ZSW interface mode has been set to "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" (p2038 = 1), but the drive's data structure does not correspond to this mode.
• Concretely, the assignment in p0186 does not follow any of the structures that are valid for the configured ratio of Drive Data Sets (p0180) to Motor Data Sets (p0130).

1. Check the interface mode in p2038 and confirm that "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" operation is really what you intend; if it is not, set the mode accordingly.
2. Read the configured numbers of Drive Data Sets and Motor Data Sets in p0180 and p0130.
3. Check the p0186 assignment against the structure that is valid for that DDS/MDS ratio. The manual defines these structures:
   • Equal numbers of DDS and MDS (1/1 up to 32/32): every index carries its own MDS number — p0186[0] = 0, p0186[1] = 1, ... up to p0186[31] = 31.
   • Twice as many DDS as MDS (2/1, 4/2, 8/4, 16/8, 32/16): each MDS number is shared by two consecutive DDS indices, counted from 0 — at 2/1, for example, p0186[0] and p0186[1] both equal 0.
   • Four times as many DDS as MDS (4/1, 8/2, 16/4, 32/8): four consecutive indices share one number — at 4/1, the indices 0, 1, 2 and 3 all equal 0.
   • Eight times as many DDS as MDS (8/1, 16/2, 32/4): eight consecutive indices share one number — at 32/4, the indices 0...7 = 0, 8...15 = 1, 16...23 = 2 and 24...31 = 3.
   • Sixteen times as many DDS as MDS (16/1, 32/2): sixteen consecutive indices share one number; at 32/1, all 32 indices equal 0.
   • Two MDS with 9, 10 or 12 DDS (9/2, 10/2, 12/2): the indices 0...7 = 0 and the remaining indices = 1 — at 9/2 only p0186[8] = 1, at 10/2 additionally p0186[9] = 1, at 12/2 the indices 8...11 = 1.
4. Correct p0186 until it matches one of the valid structures, then confirm that p2038 and the data structure now agree.

• p2038 — IF1 PROFIdrive STW/ZSW interface mode: value 1 selects the "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" mode; check here first whether this mode is really intended.
• p0180 — number of Drive Data Sets (DDS): read here how many DDS are configured; together with p0130 this decides which p0186 structure is valid.
• p0130 — number of Motor Data Sets (MDS): read here how many MDS are configured.
• p0186 — Motor Data Sets (MDS) number: assigns an MDS number to every DDS index; bring this assignment into the valid structure for the p0180/p0130 ratio.

No acknowledgment and no restart are needed: the message has no effect on drive operation, neither as an alarm nor in the N variant. The fix is purely in the parameterization — if "SIMODRIVE 611 universal" was not intended, set the interface mode (p2038) accordingly; otherwise bring the p0186 assignment into one of the valid structures for the configured numbers of DDS (p0180) and MDS (p0130). Once the data structure corresponds to the selected interface mode, the condition is resolved.
