A01693 — SI P1 (CU): Safety parameter setting changed, POWER ON required

A01693 is raised because the safety parameter setting (SI P1) in the CU has been changed. The new values are not yet active: all changed parameters of the safety motion monitoring functions only take effect following a warm restart or a POWER ON. The alarm value in r2124, read as a decimal number, gives the parameter number of the safety parameter that was changed. The same condition can also be raised as a fault instead of this alarm, depending on the drive's configuration; the descriptions for G130, G150, S120 and S150 state that this fault is acknowledged with a POWER ON. The G120 description treats the condition as requiring a POWER ON, while the other descriptions also name the warm restart.

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 as a decimal number: it is the parameter number of the safety parameter which has changed and which necessitates the warm restart or POWER ON.
2. Make the changed parameters effective. For G130, G150, S120 and S150, either carry out a warm restart (p0009 = 30, p0976 = 2, 3) or carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
3. On G120, execute the function "Copy RAM to ROM" and then carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on).
4. Before performing an acceptance test, a POWER ON must be carried out for all components.

• The drive writes the alarm value into r2124; the manual says to interpret it as a decimal number.
• The value is the parameter number of the safety parameter which has changed and which necessitates a warm restart or POWER ON (on G120, a POWER ON).

• r2124 (alarm value): read it as a decimal number — for this alarm it holds the parameter number of the changed safety parameter.
• p0009 (device commissioning parameter filter): set to 30 as part of the warm restart that makes the changed safety parameters effective.
• p0976 (reset and load all parameters): set to 2 or 3 to carry out the warm restart.

As an alarm, A01693 does not require a separate acknowledgment; it is remedied by making the changed parameters effective — through the warm restart or the POWER ON described above. If the drive is configured to raise the same condition as a fault, that fault is acknowledged with a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
