A01514BICO: Error when writing during a reconnect

What it means

A01514 is raised when a parameter could not be written to during a reconnect operation — for example while the drive is booting or a download is running, but it can also occur in normal operation. The object that could not be written is always a BICO input (signal sink). The drive responds by resetting the affected parameter to its factory setting. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be issued as a fault.

Why it appears

  • During a reconnect operation (e.g. while booting or downloading, but also possible in normal operation) a parameter was not able to be written to.
  • The example the manual gives: when writing to a BICO input in double word format (DWORD), the memory areas can overlap in the second index — p8861 is cited as an example of such an input.
  • The affected parameter is then reset to the factory setting.

What to check

  1. None — the manuals state the remedy is not necessary. The drive itself has reset the affected parameter to its factory setting.
  2. If you need to know which parameter was affected, read the alarm value in r2124 as a decimal number.
