What it means
The Terminal Module (TM) raises F35208 — TM: Temperature fault/alarm threshold channel 1 exceeded when its channel 1 temperature evaluation trips: either the alarm threshold has been exceeded for longer than the delay time set in the timer (p4102[2], p4103[1]), or the fault threshold p4102[3] has been exceeded. Depending on how the message is configured, the drive can also issue the same condition as an alarm or with no reaction. This fault only causes the drive to shut down if there is at least one BICO interconnection between the drive and the Terminal Module.

What to check
- Check the temperature actual value at connector output r4105[1] — it is displayed there and can be interconnected. For the sensor types 'PTC thermistor' and 'Bimetallic NC contact' (p4100[1] = 1, 4), a resistance r4101[1] above 1650 ohms is shown as 250 °C, and one of 1650 ohms or less as -50 °C.
- Allow the temperature sensor to cool down to below the fault threshold p4102[3] minus hysteresis — 5 K; on the TM150 this hysteresis can be set using p4118[1].
- If required, set the fault response to NONE using p2100 and p2101.

- The fault value in r0949, interpreted decimal, is the temperature actual value at the time the fault was initiated, in 0.1 °C.
Parameters the manual names
- p4102 — holds the channel 1 thresholds: index [2] is the alarm threshold, index [3] the fault threshold that the sensor must cool below.
- p4103 — index [1] sets the delay time for how long the alarm threshold may be exceeded before the fault is initiated.
- p4100 — index [1] sets the sensor type of channel 1; 'PTC thermistor' and 'Bimetallic NC contact' correspond to p4100[1] = 1 and 4.
- r4101 — shows the sensor resistance; for PTC and bimetallic NC contact, 1650 ohms is the switching point between the 250 °C and -50 °C readings.

Acknowledging and restarting
The fault is set up to be acknowledged immediately; a POWER ON also removes it. Before restarting, the temperature must have fallen below the fault threshold p4102[3] minus the hysteresis (5 K, on the TM150 settable via p4118[1]), otherwise the fault is initiated again. As a fault the drive coasts down (OFF2); once the message is acknowledged, the drive can be started again. If the condition is configured as alarm or without reaction, neither reaction nor acknowledgement apply.
