What it means
F35207 comes from the temperature evaluation of a Terminal Module (TM). It is initiated when, on channel 0, the alarm threshold has been exceeded for longer than the timer allows, or when the fault threshold has been exceeded outright. The same condition can also be reported as an alarm (A) or as a message without reaction (N), depending on how the drive is configured.
The manual emphasises that this fault only causes the drive to shut down if at least one BICO interconnection exists between the drive and the Terminal Module. The temperature actual value that the TM determines is output at connector output r4105[0] and can be interconnected.
Why it appears
- The alarm threshold (p4102[0]) has been exceeded for longer than the time set in the timer (p4103[0]).
- The fault threshold (p4102[1]) has been exceeded.
For the sensor types PTC thermistor and Bimetallic NC contact (p4100[0] = 1, 4), the temperature is derived from the measured sensor resistance r4101[0]: if r4101[0] is greater than 1650 ohms, the temperature at r4105[0] is 250 °C; if r4101[0] is less than or equal to 1650 ohms, it is -50 °C.
What to check
- Read the temperature that was present when the fault was initiated: the fault value r0949, interpreted as a decimal number, holds it in 0.1 °C. Compare it with the alarm threshold p4102[0] and the fault threshold p4102[1].
- With sensor type PTC thermistor or Bimetallic NC contact (p4100[0] = 1, 4), read the sensor resistance r4101[0]: more than 1650 ohms is displayed as 250 °C at r4105[0], 1650 ohms or less as -50 °C.
- Allow the temperature sensor to cool down until it falls below p4102[1] minus the hysteresis; the hysteresis is 5 K and can, on a TM150, be set using p4118[0].
- If the temperature evaluation should not shut the drive down, set the fault response to NONE using p2100 and p2101.

- Fault value r0949, interpret decimal: the temperature actual value at the time the fault was initiated, given in 0.1 °C.
- The temperature actual value currently derived is available via connector output r4105[0].
Parameters the manual names
- p4102 — the alarm threshold (p4102[0]) and the fault threshold (p4102[1]) of the temperature channel; the fault clears only once the temperature drops below p4102[1] minus the hysteresis.
- p4103 — the delay time (p4103[0]): how long the alarm threshold may be exceeded before the fault is initiated.
- p4100 — the sensor type (p4100[0]); 1 = PTC thermistor, 4 = Bimetallic NC contact — for these types the temperature is derived from the resistance.
- r4101 — the sensor resistance (r4101[0]); for PTC or bimetallic contact, more than 1650 ohms is reported as 250 °C, 1650 ohms or less as -50 °C.
- r4105 — CO connector output with the temperature actual value (r4105[0]); it can be interconnected.
- r0949 — the fault value; interpreted decimal it shows the temperature at the time of initiation in 0.1 °C.
- p4118 — the hysteresis (p4118[0]) of the fault/alarm threshold on a TM150; otherwise the hysteresis is 5 K.
- p2100 / p2101 — set the fault response for this fault to NONE if the temperature evaluation should not shut the drive down.
Acknowledging and restarting
Acknowledge the fault immediately once the sensor has cooled below the fault threshold p4102[1] minus the hysteresis; a POWER ON also removes the fault. Only then will the drive restart. If the drive is configured to report the condition as an alarm (A) or as a message without reaction (N), the manual specifies no acknowledgement for these variants (NONE).
