What it means
F32163 reports that the position value of Encoder 2 — evaluated as an analog sensor — has left the permissible range of -0.5 ... +0.5. The fault value stored in r0949 tells you which source delivered the out-of-range value: the LVDT sensor itself or the position value calculated through the encoder characteristic. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be signalled as an alarm or with no reaction at all.
Why it appears
- The position value has exceeded the permissible range of -0.5 ... +0.5.

What to check

Acknowledging and restarting

The fault is then acknowledged with pulse inhibit: the drive only accepts the acknowledgment once it has inhibited its pulses, i.e. after the drive object has been stopped, and only then can it be restarted. When the drive is configured to signal this condition as an alarm or with no reaction, no reaction and no acknowledgment apply.
