F32153 — Encoder 2: Identification error

F32153 is raised on the Sensor Module Encoder 2 when the drive tries to identify the connected encoder automatically and this identification fails: the connected encoder was not able to be identified. The message is reported in the state in which the encoder identification is still pending — p0400 = 10100. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be issued as an alarm (A) or as a message without any reaction (N) instead of a fault.

• An error occurred when identifying the encoder, i.e. while identification was still pending (p0400 = 10100).
• The connected encoder was not able to be identified by the drive.

1. Configure the encoder manually according to the encoder data sheet — enter the encoder data yourself instead of letting the drive identify the encoder automatically (p0400 = 10100).

• The drive stores the fault value in r0949. Only one bit is decoded: Bit 0 — Data length incorrect.
• The two manuals interpret this value differently: one says to read r0949 in binary, the other in hexadecimal. The decoding of Bit 0 is identical in both.

• p0400 (encoder type selection): the value 10100 is the setting in which the encoder identification is still waiting; for this fault, the encoder data must be entered manually from the data sheet instead.
• r0949 (fault value): holds the fault value of this message — Bit 0 set means that the data length was incorrect.

The message is acknowledged immediately — the manuals describe no further reset sequence. Because the drive does not perform any automatic reaction to this condition, it can be started again once the encoder has been configured manually and the message has been acknowledged.
