F30659 — SI P2: Write request for parameter rejected

F30659 means that a write request for one or several Safety Integrated (SI) parameters in monitoring channel 2 — on a G120, on processor 2 — was rejected. The drive raises the fault when commissioning or parameterization tries to enable a safety function that the connected hardware cannot support; the decimal fault value in r0949 identifies the rejected function. The manual notes that this fault does not result in a safety stop response.

• One or several Safety Integrated parameters were written in monitoring channel 2 and the drive rejected the write request.
• Behind every fault value stands the same situation: a safety function (STO, SS1, SBC, motion monitoring, PROFIsafe, Basic Functions, the ESR delay for pulse suppression) was to be enabled although the Control Unit, Motor Module, Hydraulic Module or power unit cannot support it.

1. Read the decimal fault value in r0949 to identify the rejected function.
2. For fault values 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 27 (on a G120: 10, 15, 16, 18), check whether there are faults in the safety function alignment between the two monitoring channels (F01655, F30655) and, if required, carry out the diagnostics for the faults involved.
3. If the alignment is fault-free, use a Motor Module that supports the required function and upgrade the Motor Module software and the Control Unit software; on Hydraulic Module drive objects use a Hydraulic Module and upgrade its software, and on a G120 use a Control Unit that supports the required function.
4. Fault value 28: use the power unit with the feature "STO via terminals at the Power Module".
5. Fault value 29: use a Motor Module or Hydraulic Module that supports the required function, upgrade the module software and the Control Unit software and, if required, parameterize the stop response for PROFIsafe failure to STOP A (p9612 = p9812 = 0); on Hydraulic Module drive objects first check whether p9612 and p9812 are set and correct the settings if required.

• 10 — STO was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 11 — SBC was to be enabled although this cannot be supported (Motor Module drive objects).
• 13 — SS1 was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 14 — safe motion monitoring with the higher-level control was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 15 — the motion monitoring functions integrated in the drive were to be enabled although these cannot be supported.
• 16 — PROFIsafe communication was to be enabled although this cannot be supported, or the version of the PROFIsafe driver used on the two monitoring channels is different.
• 18 — the PROFIsafe function for Basic Functions was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 19 — for ESR, the delay for pulse suppression was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 20 — G120 only: drive-integrated motion monitoring via the integrated F-DI and STO via terminals were to be enabled at the same time, which is not supported.
• 27 — Basic Functions were to be activated by controlling via TM54F although this cannot be supported.
• 28 — "STO via terminals at the Power Module" was to be enabled although this cannot be supported.
• 29 — STOP B was to be parameterized as the stop response for PROFIsafe failure although this cannot be supported.
• 33 — Hydraulic Module drive objects only: safety functions without selection are not supported (p9601.5, p9801.5).

• r0949 — read the fault value here and interpret it as a decimal number to find which function was rejected.
• r9771 — shows the SI common functions the Control Unit supports, so you can compare them with the function you tried to enable.
• r9871 — shows the SI common functions the Motor Module supports, for the same comparison.
• p9612 / p9812 — SI PROFIsafe failure response of the Control Unit and Motor Module; with fault value 29, set both to 0 so the response is STOP A.
• p9601 / p9801 — SI enable functions integrated in the drive (Control Unit / Motor Module); fault value 33 on Hydraulic Module drive objects points to p9601.5 and p9801.5.

Once the unsupported request has been removed as described above, the fault is acknowledged with POWER ON: switch the drive off and on again before the drive will restart.
