F30655 — SI P2: Align monitoring functions

F30655 is raised when an error occurs while the drive aligns the Safety Integrated (SI) monitoring functions of its two monitoring channels: no common set of supported SI monitoring functions was able to be determined. The two channels differ by drive construction: on the G120 they are processor 1 and processor 2, while on the modular drives the channels reside in the Control Unit and the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module, which exchange data over DRIVE-CLiQ. Because the fault lies in Safety Integrated, it forces a STOP A that cannot be acknowledged.

• The alignment of the Safety Integrated monitoring functions of the two monitoring channels failed, so no common set of supported SI monitoring functions could be determined.
• On the drives whose channels sit in the Control Unit and the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module (S120, S150, G130, G150): there is either a DRIVE-CLiQ communication error or communication has failed, or the Safety Integrated software releases on the Control Unit and on the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module are not compatible with one another.
• On the G120, where the channels are processor 1 and processor 2: there is a communication error between processor 1 and processor 2 or communication has failed.

1. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on); on the modular drives this means for all components.
2. Still present on the modular drives: upgrade the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module software.
3. Upgrade the Control Unit software.
4. Check the electrical cabinet design and cable routing for EMC compliance — the manual names this step for every drive described.

• The drive stores the fault value of F30655 in r0949; interpret it hexadecimal.
• The manual prints no decoding of the value into bits or meanings — the fault value is intended only for internal Siemens troubleshooting.

The fault triggers a Safety Integrated STOP A that cannot be acknowledged, so it does not clear with a simple acknowledgement from the operator panel or the commissioning tool. The message belongs to the IMMEDIATELY acknowledgement class: it is removed with a POWER ON, i.e. the drive is switched off and on again — on the modular drives, all components. Once the cause has been remedied and the POWER ON carried out, the fault is acknowledged and the drive can be restarted.
