F30656 — SI P2: Motor Module parameter error

F30656 is raised when the drive hits an error while reading the Safety Integrated (SI) parameters of monitoring channel 2 out of the non-volatile memory — on G120 the affected unit is the second parameter processor, which is why its manual titles the code SI P2: Parameter processor 2 parameter error. On G130, G150, S120 and S150 the channel belongs to the Motor Module (MM). The fault forces a STOP A that can be acknowledged, and the drive only comes back after a POWER ON.

• An error occurred while the Safety Integrated parameters for monitoring channel 2 (on G120: for processor 2) were being accessed in the non-volatile memory.
• What exactly failed is told by the fault value in r0949: corrupted SI parameters (129) or an internal software error on the Control Unit, on the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module or — on G120 — on one of the two processors (131, 255).

1. Re-commission the safety functions.
2. Upgrade the Control Unit software and, on the Motor Module variant, the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module software as well — the G120 manual does not list this step.
3. Replace the memory card or the Control Unit.
4. If the fault value (r0949, read as a decimal number) is 129, run this sequence:
   1. Activate the safety commissioning mode (p0010 = 95).
   2. Adapt the PROFIsafe address (p9610) — this step is printed for the Motor Module variant only.
   3. Start the copy function for SI parameters (p9700 = D0 hex).
   4. Acknowledge the data change (p9701 = DC hex).
   5. Leave the safety commissioning mode (p0010 = 0).
   6. Save all parameters (p0977 = 1, or "copy RAM to ROM"; G120 saves with p0971 = 1).
   7. Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components — on G120 for the Control Unit.

The message value carries the fault value, which r0949 shows as a decimal number:

• 129 — the safety parameters of monitoring channel 2 (G120: of processor 2) are corrupted; for the Motor Module variant the manual adds that a drive with enabled safety functions may have been copied offline in the commissioning tool and the project downloaded.
• 131 — internal software error on the Control Unit (G120: on processor 1).
• 255 — internal software error on the Motor Module/Hydraulic Module (G120: on processor 2).

• r0949 — read the fault value here, interpreted as a decimal number, to see whether case 129, 131 or 255 applies.
• p0010 — set to 95 to enter the safety commissioning mode and back to 0 to leave it.
• p9610 — adapt the PROFIsafe address of the Control Unit here (Motor Module variant, fault value 129).
• p9700 — set to D0 hex to start the copy function for SI parameters.
• p9701 — set to DC hex to acknowledge the changed SI data.
• p0977 — set to 1, or run "copy RAM to ROM", to save all parameters after the copy (Motor Module variant).
• p0971 — the G120 performs the same save with this parameter set to 1.

Once the remedy is done, the fault clears only on a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) of all components — on G120 of the Control Unit. The STOP A produced by the fault can then be acknowledged.
