F07511 — Drive: Encoder used a multiple number of times

F07511 ("Drive: Encoder used a multiple number of times") is raised when the unique assignment of an encoder has been violated. The manuals for the G130, G150, S120 and S150 describe it with identical wording, so it applies the same way on every listed family: each encoder may be assigned to one drive only, and within a drive it must — in every drive data set (DDS) — always be encoder 1, always encoder 2 or always encoder 3. Concretely, the drive has found a double use of a component number: the two parameters coded in the fault value both refer to the same component number, the encoder interface component number (see p0141).

• An encoder is assigned to more than one drive, although each encoder may be assigned to one drive only.
• Within one drive, the encoder does not keep the same position in every drive data set: in each DDS it must always be encoder 1, always encoder 2 or always encoder 3, and this consistency has been broken.
• The result is a component number that is used twice — the two parameters named in the fault value refer to the same component number.

1. Read the fault value in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number: it contains the two parameters, in coded form, that refer to the same component number.
2. Decode both coded parameters with the breakdown below — each one yields an index, a parameter number and a drive number.
3. Open the two indicated parameters (p0187, p0188 or p0189, according to the coded parameter number) at the indicated index and drive number.
4. Correct the double use of the component number so that every encoder is again uniquely assigned — one drive per encoder, and the same encoder number in every DDS of that drive.
5. Acknowledge the fault.

The message value (%1) is the fault value, which the drive stores in r0949 and which is to be interpreted as a decimal number. It contains two parameters in coded form that refer to the same component number:

• First parameter — index: first and second decimal place (99 for EDS, not assigned DDS); parameter number: third decimal place (1 for p0187, 2 for p0188, 3 for p0189, 4 for EDS not assigned DDS); drive number: fourth and fifth decimal place.
• Second parameter — index: sixth and seventh decimal place (99 for EDS, not assigned DDS); parameter number: eighth decimal place (1 for p0187, 2 for p0188, 3 for p0189, 4 for EDS, not assigned DDS); drive number: ninth and tenth decimal place.

• r0949 — fault value: read it as a decimal number to obtain the two coded parameters that refer to the same component number.
• p0187 — encoder 1 encoder data set number (Enc 1 EDS number): the assignment to correct here when the coded parameter number 1 names encoder 1 as one of the two double-used entries.
• p0188 — encoder 2 encoder data set number (Enc 2 EDS number): the assignment to correct here when the coded parameter number 2 names encoder 2.
• p0189 — encoder 3 encoder data set number (Enc 3 EDS number): the assignment to correct here when the coded parameter number 3 names encoder 3.
• p0141 — encoder interface (Sensor Module) component number: the component number whose double use this fault reports.

The drive takes no automatic action of its own for this fault. Once the double use of the component number has been corrected in the parameters coded in r0949, the fault can be acknowledged immediately — no waiting period or special procedure is required.
