What it means
F07449 is raised by the load gear position tracking when, while the drive was switched off, the currently effective motor encoder was moved through a distance greater than the tolerance window (p2722) permits. The drive therefore assumes that there may no longer be any reference between the mechanical system and the encoder. Only the motor encoder of the drive data set that is currently effective is monitored; which motor encoder belongs to a drive data set is specified in p0187[x]. In the affected drive objects the drive stops via OFF1 (OFF2, OFF3 or no reaction can be configured instead), while the infeed itself does not react. The same condition can also be issued as an alarm, in which case the drive does not react and no acknowledgement is required.

What to check
- Select encoder commissioning (p0010 = 4).
- Reset the position tracking position (p2720.2 = 1).
- Deselect encoder commissioning (p0010 = 0).
- Acknowledge the fault.
- If necessary, adjust the absolute encoder (p2507).
Reading the message value
The message value %1 contains the fault value. Read it in r0949 and interpret it as a decimal number:
- The value is the deviation (difference) to the last encoder position, in increments of the absolute value after the measuring gear — if one is being used.
- The sign designates the traversing direction.
- The deviation found is also displayed in r2724.
Parameters the manual names
- p0010 — drive commissioning parameter filter; set it to 4 to select encoder commissioning and back to 0 to deselect it as part of the reset.
- p2720 — load gear configuration; set bit 2 to 1 to reset the position tracking position.
- p2722 — load gear position tracking tolerance window; it defines how far the encoder may be moved while the drive is switched off.
- r2724 — load gear position difference; shows the deviation the drive found to the last encoder position.
- r0949 — fault value; interpret it as a decimal number to read the deviation to the last encoder position.
- p0187 — encoder data set number; p0187[x] specifies which motor encoder belongs to drive data set x, and only the encoder of the currently effective data set is monitored.
- p2507 — used to adjust the absolute encoder after the reset, if necessary.
Acknowledging and restarting
After the position tracking has been reset with the steps above, acknowledge the fault. If the absolute encoder is affected, adjust it afterwards via p2507. When the drive signals the same condition only as an alarm, no acknowledgement is needed.
