F07443LR: Reference point coordinate not in the permissible range

What it means

F07443 (LR: Reference point coordinate not in the permissible range) is raised while the encoder is being adjusted: the reference point coordinate that arrives via connector input p2599 lies outside half of the encoder range and cannot be set as the actual axis position. Depending on the drive's configuration, the same condition can also be signalled as an alarm instead of a fault, in which case it triggers no reaction and needs no acknowledgement.

Why it appears

  • The reference point coordinate received via connector input p2599 when adjusting the encoder lies outside half of the encoder range and cannot be set as the actual axis position.

What to check

  1. Read the fault value in r0949, interpreting it as a decimal number: it gives the maximum permissible value for the reference point coordinate.
  2. Set the reference point coordinate to a lower value than the maximum given in the fault value — the coordinate is fed to p2599, whose signal source is selected in p2598.
  3. Acknowledge the fault and restart the drive.

Reading the message value

  • The fault value is held in r0949 and is to be interpreted as a decimal number.
  • It contains the maximum permissible value for the reference point coordinate; the coordinate supplied via p2599 must be set to a value below it.

Parameters the manual names

  • p2598 (CI: EPOS reference point coordinate signal source) — check here which signal feeds the reference point coordinate to p2599.
  • p2599 (CO: EPOS reference point coordinate value) — the connector input through which the rejected reference point coordinate arrives during encoder adjustment; set the value here below the maximum given in the fault value.
  • r0949 (fault value) — read the maximum permissible reference point coordinate from it, interpreting the value as a decimal number.

Acknowledging and restarting

Set the reference point coordinate to a value lower than the maximum given in the fault value, then acknowledge the fault immediately; the drive can then be restarted. When the condition is signalled as an alarm instead, no acknowledgement is required.

Questions technicians ask

What does SINAMICS fault F07443 mean?

During encoder adjustment the reference point coordinate received via connector input p2599 lies outside half of the encoder range, so the drive cannot set it as the actual axis position.

How do I clear F07443?

Read the maximum permissible value from the fault value in r0949, interpreted as a decimal number, and set the reference point coordinate to a lower value. The fault can then be acknowledged immediately.

Which parameters belong to fault F07443?

p2599 carries the EPOS reference point coordinate value, p2598 selects the signal source that feeds it, and r0949 holds the fault value with the maximum permissible coordinate.

Can F07443 also appear as an alarm?

Yes, depending on the drive's configuration the same condition can be signalled as an alarm, which triggers no reaction and requires no acknowledgement.
