F06262Infeed: Temperature switch in the line filter open when switching on

What it means

F06262 is raised when the infeed is switched on and the temperature switch in the connected line filter reports the filter temperature as too high — the switch has opened. While this condition is present, the infeed prevents switching on.

Why it appears

  • At the moment of switch-on, the infeed sees too high a temperature in the line filter.
  • Because of this, the infeed blocks switching on until the condition has been removed.

What to check

  1. Compare the line filter type set in p0220[0] with the line filter that is actually connected: either connect the line filter specified for the infeed being used, or correct the line filter type setting in p0220[0].
  2. Temperature monitoring is mandatory for AIM line filters (the manual refers to p0220 here). Make sure the temperature switch in the line filter is connected to input X21 of the infeed correctly and reliably.
  3. If the filter temperature is genuinely too high, let the system cool down.
  4. Check the internal fan of the line filter and replace the fan if it is defective.
  5. If the temperature switch of the line filter is defective, replace the line filter.

Parameters the manual names

  • p0220[0] — holds the line filter type setting for the infeed; for this fault, check it against the filter actually connected, and the manual points to p0220 for the mandatory temperature monitoring of AIM line filters.

Acknowledging and restarting

Acknowledge the fault immediately. As long as the temperature condition in the line filter persists, the infeed keeps switch-on blocked; once the cause has been removed and the fault acknowledged, the infeed can be switched on again.

Questions technicians ask

What does fault F06262 mean?

It means the infeed saw too high a temperature in the line filter at the moment of switching on, so the temperature switch opened. Switching on is prevented until the condition is cleared.

Why does F06262 occur even though the filter is not hot?

The manual also lists a wrong line filter type in p0220[0] and a temperature switch that is not reliably connected to input X21 as possible reasons. For AIM line filters, temperature monitoring through this switch is mandatory.

How do I clear F06262 and restart the drive?

Remove the cause — correct p0220[0], reconnect the temperature switch, let the system cool down, or replace the fan or the line filter — and acknowledge the fault immediately. The infeed then allows switching on again.
