What it means
F01600 reports that the drive-integrated Safety Integrated function on processor 1 has detected an error and initiated a STOP A — on the Control Unit based families (G130, G150, S120, S150) the manual names the Control Unit (CU) as the place where the monitoring runs and describes the STOP A as STO via the safety switch-off signal path of the Control Unit. Two triggers are given: the forced checking procedure (test stop) of the safety switch-off signal path was unsuccessful, or the fault is the subsequent response to fault F01611 (defect in a monitoring channel). The code exists on G120, G120C, G130, G150, S120 and S150; for G120C the instruction manual prints only the title "STOP A initiated". While the fault is active the drive removes the pulses (OFF2) and coasts down; it restarts only after the fault has been acknowledged.

What to check
- Select Safe Torque Off and de-select it again.
- Carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components.
- If the fault persists, replace the component the manual names for your drive: the Power Module (G120), the Motor Module (G130, G150, S120, S150) or, for the HLA drive object, the Hydraulic Module.
- Fault value 1005: deactivate the terminals STO_A/STO_B on the Power Module (set both DIP switches to "OFF") or enable the "STO via terminals at the Power Module" function.
- Fault value 1030 (G120): check the discrepancy time and, if required, increase the value (p9650/p9850); check the STO terminal at the Power Module for contact problems.
- Fault value 9999: carry out diagnostics for fault F01611.
Reading the message value
The manuals print the message value as %1: it is the fault value stored in r0949, and the list below must be interpreted as a decimal number.
- 0 — stop request from processor 2 (G120) or from monitoring channel 2 (Control Unit based families).
- 1005 — pulses suppressed (G120) or STO active (Control Unit based families) although STO is not selected and there is no internal STOP A present. For a Power Module with "STO via terminals at the Power Module" (STO_A/STO_B): these terminals are active (DIP switch to "ON") although the function has not been enabled (p9601.7 = p9801.7 = 0).
- 1010 — pulses enabled (G120) or STO inactive (Control Unit based families) although STO is selected or an internal STOP A is present.
- 1011 (G120) — internal fault for the pulse enable in the Power Module.
- 1015 (G130, G150, S120, S150) — feedback signal of STO for Motor Modules connected in parallel are different.
- 1030 (G120) — feedback signal of the safety switch-off signal paths for the "STO via terminals at the Power Module" function different.
- 9999 — subsequent response to fault F01611.
Parameters the manual names
- r0949 — fault value: read the stored value here and interpret it as a decimal number to find out which of the conditions listed above triggered F01600.
- p9601 — SI enable functions integrated in the drive (processor 1): the manual names bit 7 together with p9801.7 — when both are 0, the "STO via terminals at the Power Module" function is not enabled, which the drive reports with fault value 1005.
- p9801 — SI enable functions integrated in the drive (processor 2): bit 7 appears in the fault value 1005 text together with p9601.7 (p9601.7 = p9801.7 = 0 = function not enabled).
- p9650 — SI F-DI changeover discrepancy time (processor 1): for fault value 1030, check this discrepancy time and increase the value if required.
- p9850 — SI F-DI changeover discrepancy time (processor 2): the counterpart of p9650 on processor 2, checked together with it for fault value 1030.
Acknowledging and restarting
F01600 must be acknowledged immediately by switching the power off and on again: carry out a POWER ON (switch-off/switch-on) for all components
. The manuals prescribe selecting Safe Torque Off and de-selecting it again first, then the POWER ON. Because the drive has executed an OFF2, the motor coasts down and no restart is possible until the fault has been acknowledged. If F01600 returns, read the fault value in r0949 and follow the remedy for that value; where the value is 9999, the underlying fault F01611 must be diagnosed.
