A08563 — PROFINET: Consistency error affecting adjustable parameters

The drive raises A08563 — PROFINET: Consistency error affecting adjustable parameters — when the configuration of the PROFINET interface is activated (p8925) and the consistency check detects an error in the adjustable parameters of that configuration. The alarm value identifies which item is inconsistent; it is stored in r2124 and must be interpreted decimal. Depending on the value, the conflict concerns the IP configuration, the station name, the combination of DHCP and an existing cyclic PROFINET connection, or a setting that clashes with the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127). For alarm values 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 the configuration was not changed; for alarm value 6 the new configuration was nevertheless activated.

• A consistency error was detected when the configuration for the PROFINET interface was activated (p8925) — the adjustable parameters do not form a consistent configuration.
• Which item is inconsistent depends on the alarm value: the IP configuration (IP address, subnet mask or standard gateway), the station name, DHCP versus an existing cyclic PROFINET connection, or settings that conflict with the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127) — see the alarm value decoding below.

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 (interpret decimal) and use the decoding below to determine which part of the configuration is inconsistent.
2. Check the required interface configuration (p8940 and following) and correct it if necessary.
3. Activate the corrected configuration (p8945).
4. Alternatively, reinitialize the station using the "Edit Ethernet node" screen form (e.g. with STARTER).

• The drive enters the alarm value into the message value; it can be read in r2124 and is interpreted decimal. The values mean:
• 0 — general consistency error
• 1 — error in the IP configuration (IP address, subnet mask or standard gateway)
• 2 — error in the station names
• 3 — DHCP was not able to be activated, as a cyclic PROFINET connection already exists
• 4 — a cyclic PROFINET connection is not possible as DHCP is activated
• 5 — standard gateway is also set at the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127)
• 6 — standard station name is also set at the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127)
• 7 — IP address is located in the same subnet as the IP address of the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127)
• For alarm values 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 the configuration was not changed. For alarm value 6 the new configuration was nevertheless activated.
• DHCP: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.

• r2124 (alarm value): read here, interpreted decimal, to identify which configuration item triggered the consistency error.
• p8925 (Activate PN interface configuration): the activation during which the consistency error is detected.
• p8940 (CBExx name of station) and the parameters that follow it: hold the required interface configuration to be checked and, if necessary, corrected.
• p8945 (CBExx activate configuration of interfaces): activates the corrected interface configuration.
• p8920 (PN name of station), p8921 (PN IP address), p8922 (PN Default Gateway) and p8923 (PN Subnet Mask): the PN settings the manual cross-references for this alarm — check the one the alarm value points to, e.g. the IP parameters for value 1 or the station name for values 2 and 6.

No acknowledgement is required for this alarm. The condition is resolved by removing the inconsistency itself: check the required interface configuration (p8940 and following), correct it if necessary and activate it (p8945), or reinitialize the station using the "Edit Ethernet node" screen form (e.g. with STARTER). If the alarm value is 6, the new configuration was nevertheless activated — the conflict concerns the standard station name that is also set at the Industrial Ethernet interface (X127).
