A07580Drive: No Sensor Module with matching component number

What it means

A07580 tells you that the encoder configuration points to a Sensor Module that is not there: the component number stored in p0141 — the encoder interface (Sensor Module) component number — matches no Sensor Module that the drive can find. The message concerns one encoder data set, namely the index of p0141 given in the message value. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as a fault or as a message with no reaction. In its alarm form no automatic drive response is attached to it and no acknowledgement is required.

Why it appears

  • A Sensor Module with the component number entered in p0141 was not found in the drive, so the encoder data set whose index appears in the message value has no matching encoder component.

What to check

  1. Identify the affected encoder data set from the message value — it is the index of p0141 for which no Sensor Module was found; on G130 and G150 the alarm value r2124, interpreted as a decimal number, holds this index.
  2. Check the component number stored in p0141 for that encoder data set index.
  3. Correct p0141 so that it contains the component number of the Sensor Module actually used for this encoder data set.

Reading the message value

  • The drive puts the encoder data set involved into the message value: the index of p0141 whose component number matched no Sensor Module.
  • On G130 and G150 the alarm value is r2124; read it as a decimal number to obtain the encoder data set involved (index of p0141).

Parameters the manual names

  • p0141 — encoder interface (Sensor Module) component number (Enc_intf comp_no): the parameter to correct for this code; for the affected encoder data set it must hold the component number of the Sensor Module that is actually present.
  • r2124 — alarm value: on G130 and G150 it shows, interpreted as a decimal number, which encoder data set (index of p0141) is involved.

Acknowledging and restarting

No acknowledgement goes with A07580 as an alarm: it clears itself once p0141 names a component number that matches an existing Sensor Module. If the drive is configured to raise the same condition as a fault, that fault can be acknowledged either IMMEDIATELY or, depending on the drive object, only after POWER ON.

The same on every family

Questions technicians ask

What does alarm A07580 mean on a SINAMICS drive?

The drive looked for a Sensor Module with the component number stored in p0141 and did not find one. The encoder data set concerned — the index of p0141 — is shown in the message value.

How do I clear A07580?

Correct p0141 for the encoder data set named in the message value so that it contains the component number of the Sensor Module actually connected. As an alarm it needs no acknowledgement and goes away once the parameterization matches the hardware.

Where can I read which encoder data set A07580 refers to?

The message value holds the encoder data set involved, i.e. the index of p0141. On G130 and G150 the alarm value r2124, interpreted as a decimal number, contains the same index.

Why does A07580 also appear as a fault on some drives?

The drive's configuration decides the message form: besides the alarm, the same condition can be output as a fault or with no reaction. In the fault form the acknowledgement is either IMMEDIATELY or only after POWER ON, depending on the drive object.
