A07579 — Encoder 3: Measuring probe evaluation not possible

While evaluating the measuring probe that serves as encoder 3, the drive detected an error, so the evaluation cannot be carried out. Which of four possible errors occurred is stored as the alarm value in r2124 and must be read as a decimal number. Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also be output as the fault F07579.

• An error occurred while the drive was evaluating the measuring probe on encoder 3; the alarm value in r2124 distinguishes which of the four possible triggers listed under fault value is present.

1. Read the alarm value in r2124 as a decimal number; it identifies the trigger.
2. Alarm value 6: assign the input terminal for the measuring probe in p0488, p0489 or p2517, p2518.
3. Alarm value 4098: check the Control Unit hardware.
4. Alarm value 4100: reduce the frequency of the measuring pulses arriving from the measuring probe.
5. Alarm value 4200: set the ratio of the PROFIBUS clock cycle to the position controller clock cycle so that it is an integer multiple.
6. If the evaluation is not needed on this drive, the manual gives a general remedy: Deactivate the measuring probe evaluation (BI: p2509 = 0 signal).

Remove the cause first; as an alarm, the message requires no acknowledgment. If the drive is configured to raise the condition as fault F07579 instead, the drive executes OFF1 and the fault is acknowledged IMMEDIATELY before the drive is restarted.
