What it means
F32501 is raised by the position tracking of Encoder 2. While the drive is switched off, the mechanics or a person can turn the drive or the encoder; the tracking function compares the position found against the last stored position. If the difference is greater than the tolerance window parameterized in p0413, the drive no longer trusts the position value, because It is possible that there is no longer any reference between the mechanical system and encoder.
Depending on how the drive is configured, the same condition can also appear as an alarm or without any automatic reaction instead of a fault.
Why it appears
- While switched off, the drive/encoder was moved through a distance greater than the tolerance window parameterized in p0413.
- There may no longer be any reference between the mechanical system and the encoder.
What to check
- Select encoder commissioning: set p0010 = 4.
- Reset the position tracking: set p0411.2 = 1.
- Deselect encoder commissioning: set p0010 = 0.
Reading the message value
- r0949, read as a decimal number, holds the deviation (difference) to the last encoder position, in increments of the absolute value.
- The sign of the fault value designates the traversing direction.
- The deviation found is also displayed in r0477.
Parameters the manual names
- p0010 — drive commissioning parameter filter; set it to 4 to select encoder commissioning and back to 0 afterwards.
- p0411 — measuring gear configuration; bit 2 set to 1 resets the position tracking.
- p0413 — the position tracking tolerance window, i.e. how far the drive/encoder may travel while switched off.
- r0477 — shows the position difference found for Encoder 2.
- r0949 — fault value; read it as a decimal to get the deviation and its direction sign.
- p2507 — absolute encoder adjustment; use it if the absolute encoder has to be adjusted after the reset.
Acknowledging and restarting
After the position tracking has been reset, acknowledge the fault — the acknowledgement is immediate, so no power-down or waiting period is required. If the position reference is still in doubt, adjust the absolute encoder via p2507.
